I’ve been here once in person a few years ago. About a couple weeks ago I was hungry for breakfast and ordered the avocado toast with a fried egg and bacon via Uber eats. It was good just cold (thanks to Uber eats!) The avo had some type of seed everything seasoning on it which was good. The hash brown was really good. I really wish Uber eats didn’t take so long as I would’ve loved this dish fresh. They have great menu options and the food is top quality. All I can recommend is, dont go through food delivery services. Aside from that, if I’m ever hungry for good homestyle breakfast, I’ll pop in the restaurant itself.

I had breakfast here for the first time this morning with my mom & grandma, everything was amazing! Very friendly and quick service, our food came out in no time even though it was somewhat busy. The portions are very big, for a very good price and the food tasted great. We will definitely be back and would recommend to others!

First visit to Derek’s after hearing about it for awhile now from friends. Arrived about 10:15 as the lunch offerings were put out. While the meat & veggies looked delicious, I was excited to hear they serve breakfast all day. Decided on the pancake breakfast- 2 cakes, 2 eggs, and sausage, which I subbed for bacon. The bacon was the only disappointment- 2 very thin pieces not as wide as your finger and stuck together. Still good & crispy. Other than that, the breakfast was a success. Eggs & pancakes were delish too. Lots of folks came for take out while I was there, as well as sit down diners. Most everyone was ordering breakfast, so I’d say that’s a likely favorite for regulars. They had a choice of sandwiches, salads, and even some Spanish dishes. I’m anxious to visit again soon and try the lunch menu.

For the last couple of years, this place has caught my father‘s eye every time I’d be taking him to his bi-weekly chemotherapy at Kennestone. He’s seen it busy at the original building, when the building closed, when they bought the new building, when the new building opened, and it being busy. After getting un-plugged from his last chemo tx, we were on our way back trying to figure out lunch. Originally, another place was on the mind but after seeing a parking lot that was not packed (for once), we decided to finally stop in & see what all the fuss is about. Everything we ordered was delicious, service was top-notch & the prices were reasonable. My only complaint was that it was freezing inside… However, I had shorts on in 50-degree rainy weather so maybe I’m the crazy one… Either way, if you get cold easily, bring a jacket lol. So will we back to enjoy more of Derek’s local comfort country cooking? I think so… I think so.

What a great experience, Service was outstanding. The food was fantastic, large portions,. Loved the Irish eggs benedict. Best poached eggs ever in a restaurant, hash browns were cooked for a change and food was HOT. Looking forward to our next visit.

I usually order from Derek’s on DoorDash but my daughter was in town and wanted to try something different. It’s a little hard to tell at first if you seat yourself or not, or if it’s cafeteria style, and no greeting from any staff, even when menus are brought out. It appears to be in an old Dairy Queen with the ice cream counter and all. As I expected the food was on point just like it is every time I order I have never had a bad experience here and I can honestly say going in even given the fact that they didn’t greet me or anything. I was still 100% impressed and so was the rest of my crew. I had my usual smothered biscuit with chicken fried steak and it was on point as usual. My daughter had the Philly cheese steak and her boyfriend had Texas cheesesteak and just for the record those are the same. Just different bread but both of them thoroughly enjoyed their meals. I don’t even like the fries. The fries were good.

This place is the best kept secret in Marietta. The food is excellent and in nice size portions. I highly recommend it. It’s a diner, but it’s cleverly set up with Fox on one side and CNN on the other. Haven’t had their lunch yet, but if it’s anything like their breakfast, it’s a must try. You’ll enjoy this great little place.

What happened to Derek’s??? We’d been going to Derek’s for breakfast since we moved to GA in 2013. The old location wasn’t the best location nor was it pretty inside but the food and people were amazing! We loved coming to Derek’s! When we heard they moved we were happy for them and the great food and service were still amazing. Then they sold the business.. We gave the new owner several chances but things seemed to be slowly moving in the wrong direction so we slowly stopped going to Derek’s. Well, we tried them again today after not going for well over a year and this time was definitely the worst. I ordered an omelet that I usually get with a side of hashbrowns and toast. Best thing was the toast! Eggs weren’t cooked fully in the center and the hashbrowns had that potatoe taste that goes away when they’re cooked fully. The hashbrowns were in NO WAY browned they were pretty raw! Unfortunately I couldn’t eat the meal as it was not good at all and my wife’s meal was no better! She ordered corned beef hash and what she got looked like a smear of dog food across the center of her plate with a slight crust on top like it had been sitting in a bin. And the service wasn’t bad so to speak it just wasn’t there! I think the waitress checked on us once the whole time we were there and never asked why neither one of us ate after spending 30.00 for breakfast! Oh well, now we remember why we stopped going…

I’ve been wanting an actual gyro for awhile now and y’all did not disappoint! The fact that you have tzatziki and not ranch…. I mean “garlic sauce” you’ve gained a lifetime fan.

ABSOLUTLY THE BEST PLACE TO EAT MEALS. IF U LIKE FOOD GO HERE. My favorite meal is the Irish eggs Benedict with hashbrowns. But you can honestly just pick something random on the menu and you will love it.
