A new treasure in the heart of Old Orchard offering a personal twist to traditional Mexican classics. The attention to detail from the food to the drinks is beyond. Fresh and clean eats had me trying to keep my composure as I tried the pineapple, jicama salad (perfect for spring and summer), and the veggie tacos. The story behind this restaurant speaks the American dream and the true meaning of family sticking together. You can taste the love in the food and I can’t wait to come back and try more!!

this place was amazing, it brings Mexican food to a whole new level. The use of strong acidic flavors is perfectly balanced with salt and spice. everything is homemade and you can tell, not just in quality but also in flavor. Our service was absolutely perfect from the moment we walked in until we left. This restaurant will quickly become a gem in toledo and we cannot wait to go back!

We first met Luis and Krystyn when they were bartenders at another local establishment we love. We instantly fell in love with their story. Luis gave us a card telling us about their new venture Deseo, and we’ve been patiently waiting. Today’s Mothers Day dinner was absolutely phenomenal, and definitely worth the wait. There are simply not enough words to describe how fantastic our experience was. The cozy atmosphere, the creative drinks made from scratch by Luis. Chef D’Angelo’s expert precision of Luis and Krystyn’s vision, and of course Krystyn’s warm inviting nature. We FINALLY have a gourmet high class take on Mexican cuisine in Toledo. We essentially tried everything on the menu and love eating in a tapas style. We’ll be back weekly!

When you see a smaller menu you can surmise it’s been curated so everything is rock solid. Cocktails were inspired and absolutely delicious. Food was way WAY better than the price point would suggest and the service was impeccable…the owner/partner mixed our drinks.

This is what Mexican food should be. We were amazed by the salsa sampler, quesabirria tacos, cazuela, and esquite dishes. Everything was loaded with flavors you can’t get from most places. We will certainly be back!
