I want to thank Detroit Fish & Shrimp restaurant, they are the cleanness restaurant in Southfield. PERIOD. They keep their grease fresh and clean. They inside restaurant is excellent clean. Every time you go in their their workers wiping down the counters and sweeping floor and mopping. I love to order food from this place, I drive about thirty miles to come to this place, it’s dam worth spending gas. The food is excellent, tasty it’s amazing. Thank you guys for bringing fresh and good tasty food to Southfield MI. I want to respond to the review Pia. She complaining about over price food. It’s worth it they food is fresh and clean. What do she expects it’s seafood. Or do she like the nasty owners who had the restaurant previous before this new restaurant owners. People don’t know the value of good food. People do not know a blessing with when they see one.

Food is severely overpriced for the portion. 30 dollars got me 2 pieces of fish fries coleslaw and 4 shrimp. I was not given any condiments or silverware. I won’t be returning. There’s a better Detroit Fish and Shrimp near 7/8 mile and the lodge. Better tasting, better portions.

I purchased an Orange Roughy dinner on 1-17-23 at around 6:30 pm. When I say it was fried to perfection, it had a great flavor and the portion was right for the price. The guys working were friendly and had great smiles.

I thought this place was ok at first. But after my 4th time going my stomach gets upset every time, I thought I was tripping at first but the 4th time confirms that it’s coming from the way they’re cooking their food. On top of that, my fries were soaked in old grease so I didn’t even eat those and my stomach still got upset from eating the whiting. Won’t be spending here anymore!
