Was in Detroit for the day to visit the Detroit Zoo. On our way home we decided to stop here and give this place a try and I’m so happy we did. The Meatloaf is incredible and my girlfriend said “this is how mac and cheese is supposed to taste.” This place is a hit in our books and we will be returning. Keep up the great work Detroit Soul!!!

It was ok. They got my order of chicken wings wrong. We waited for 20 minutes before they told us they had run out of wing. They offered me chicken thighs in replacement. That is not a suitable replacement. We did not get a commentary drink for the inconvenience. Nothing. JuSt take your chicken thighs and go.

The food was mediocre. I’m from the south so I might of been expecting something that doesn’t exist in Detroit. The wait is entirely too long, which wouldnt be bad if my food was hot and fresh like they claim due to the wait. My chicken wings didn’t seem fresh they weren’t even crispy like fresh out the grease. The flavor of the food was ok. I’m not sure I would go back. I didn’t finish any of the food I got. The flavor was not there for me.

If you like your food cold and estimated time to be wrong by double. Then this is the place for you. Called in and was told 20 mins. Got there in 25 mins (just to make sure it was ready). Waited till it hit the 45 min mark and asked for an update. Cashier goes to the back kitchen and 2 mins later has my food. Zero steam and the perch was so deep fried that the fish practically was gone. They need to change the name from Detroit Soul to Mediocre Detroit. First time and only time customer

Just ordered about an hour ago. Guest services was excellent. The sides was excellent with exception of the mac n cheese. The main part of the meal not so much. I believe we got the store closing part of our order of food.

Great portions and food was nice and fresh. I got 2 dinners. Meatloaf with yams and macaroni were delicious. My daughter got chicken with macaroni and yams and a side of greens.The greens were a bit bitter for us, but other than that we were pleased and will return.
