I stopped here for lunch and the experience was pretty disappointing. We ordered a platter and a sandwich. The sandwich was okay – definitely better than the platter but nothing extraordinary. The jalapeño mac and cheese was not fresh at all. The “crispy” jalapeño on top was stale and had a weird aftertaste while the cheese sauce was thick, dry, and clumpy. The burnt ends on the platter had almost no char on them and they were essentially flavorless. The sausage, beans, and BBQ sauce were fine. Unfortunately, I do not recommend this place.

I placed an order online through Uber Eats and not only was a side missing but there was an entire large piece of metal inside of the collard greens. I tried to call the store multiple times and the staff never picked up. This is seriously dangerous and disgusting. I was so excited to try out this small, local business and was down right disappointed and horrified. Aside from the obvious issues, the sides were not good and once I noticed the metal piece it all went into the garbage. Will never order again.

While driving down Dale Mabry, I stumbled upon this little gem of a place. True to its unassuming charm, the atmosphere at this hole-in-the-wall eatery matched my expectations. Opting for a half rack of ribs accompanied by a side of flavorful beans and tantalizing fried jalapeno mac and cheese, I was pleasantly surprised when my order arrived promptly. The ribs exceeded my expectations, effortlessly falling off the bone with each savory bite, while the beans proved equally delectable. However, I encountered a minor setback with the jalapeno mac and cheese, as it arrived cold. It’s worth noting that their BBQ sauce leaned towards an intense sweetness, catering to those with a penchant for such flavors. Despite this small hiccup, I found myself already planning my return solely for those mouthwatering ribs.

This is one of the best places I’ve gotten BBQ at! The sides were just as amazing as the meat! Plenty of food to fill you up!

The MOST disappointing meal I have had in a long time. I saw this place on Food Network, at least the owner and I was so excited when I saw it was five minutes from my work. I ordered a sandwich and a deviled pig. The deviled pig was very good. The sandwich was borderline inedible. The meat was cold and dry. It’s literally a 5 minute drive. If it was that bad, it was like that it’s because that’s how it was made. I’m glad I bought extra sauce because it’s the only way I had enough moisture to be able to eat it. Having the ability to make great BBQ is pointless if you’re just not going to. I’m glad I tried it before taking friends there because I would have been embarrassed. The prices are good but I feel like i was ripped off for the quality I got. Not happy at all. Ive had pulled pork from a grocery store that was better than this. I have no doubt they have the ability to make good food they just seem to not care enough. I’ll probably never give them my money again. So very disappointed

Been here several times. The smoked and fried wings were on point. The brisket melted in my mouth. The burnt ends were some of the best I’ve had, not to mention the ribs. What a meat-fest! Liked it so much would definitely hire them for catering. A go-to place for me when I visit Tampa.

We tried the brisket and rib tips. They were decent, little dry but the sauces they make are great. Excellent sides as well. Also had the Chicken sandwich and pulled pork sandwich, both were excellent. Seating is limited. They have a sun shade outside but the tables need to be replaced and perhaps some fans. Overall good BBQ and we will go back.

I hired Deviled Pig to cater my daughter’s graduation party with less than a week of notice. The Deviled Pig staff member was right on time with the delivery, set up everything for me, and made the party an easy success! The food was excellent! Loved, loved, loved the brisket and bacon kabobs especially! The baked beans are awesome, second only to my Dad! I will definitely hire them again!
