Very good!! And awesome server too. I had the halibut special and while it needed a little salt it was pretty spectacular. I also loved the lobster app and the pork belly was probably the best I’ve had. So good. The creme brulee had a good taste but was very cold.

If you’re looking for more of an upscale meal in the Wintergreen area this would seem to be the spot. Located at the golf course club house it over looks the course, has a great outdoor covered dining area, and a nice simplistic menu. We had the NY Strip and the shrimp and grits. Both were delicious and the steak was a very generous cut. The service was very good. Not necessarily a great place for families with young kids, the clientele was skewing a little older the night we were there. Expect to spend $30-$40 per entrée.

Hostess was extremely rude. We had an 8 pm reservation and weren’t seated until 8:45. No apologies from hostess and she didn’t provide updates on when we’d be seated (I had to ask her). She seemed to go out of her way to avoid me and didn’t stop to talk to me while walking into kitchen. When a table for two finally did open up at 8:30, hostess instead cleared and reset an 8-top (when there were no other guests besides us waiting) instead of clearing the smaller table for us first. We’re not drinkers so we were not waiting at the bar and we’re in her line of sight. For $44 entrees, we shouldn’t have had to wait that long. I was the hostess at this restaurant 20 years ago and have been Wintergreen partner since 1995. Shocked by lack of customer service hostess displayed. Had I been the hostess I would have offered to comp an app or dessert. We felt very unwelcome and as if we were an inconvenience, despite having made a reservation and arriving on time. Our server was excellent and food was good, although menu is nowhere near as broad as it used to be. 4 stars for food. 5 stars for our server. 0 stars for blond curly-haired hostess.
