Love this place forever. Have been going here for at least 50 years. Me and my wife live in West Central Alabama and come down to the doctors. We always look forward to eating here as a tradition. The cheeseburger with chilly is the best. It is like eating at your home kitchen table. The word I can describe it is familiar.

We were passing through Mobile and found this restaurant on Google Maps. Very good food!! We had the hamburger & cheeseburger (with chili), salad with grilled chicken, chicken salad, & fried shrimp. We enjoyed the meal.

I have been wanting to visit this place because every time we pass by there is a nice little crowd. We finally got the chance to stop in. I will definitely be going back again. It had a nice atmosphere nothing fancy you felt good just casual and just taking it easy there. Of course we wanted to try the famous hot dogs. They we’re good but the onion rings were absolutely delicious! I would be happy just to have a plate of those because they were DELICIOUSLY CRUNCHY! We will definitely be going back there.

It is open for dine-in. The employees were really great. They were so kind. Food is mediocre. If you like unique places to go, this is a good option, as it is the oldest restaurant in Mobile…as such, the interior is wearing down, but the employees did a great job of keeping things clean. I think it’s worth going to one time, just for the history, but if I lived in the area, I wouldn’t need to go back for the food.

We ordered a slaw chili dog and they were awful. The wiener was bright red, and the chili was not hotdog chili. It was the equivalent of Taco Bell hamburger meat with no seasoning. No beans, no chili flavor, just a finely ground kind of ?meat. It was NOT chili. The fries and coleslaw were ok. We were really disappointed. I’m giving it one star because the hotdogs were nasty.
