8.13.22. – I was actually looking for a salad when I pulled over here just to switch drivers. I thought “hmmm…whats bonding and do they have salads?” I adventured in. There was a nice crowd of people. Nevertheless, the customer service was prompt, attentive, and pleasant. Rather than try to explain this exquisite LA cuisine I’d never heard of, they let me taste a bite, and it was a party of flavor and textures in my mouth. Boudin is a mixture of pork, rice, seasonings, and usually onions and peppers all cooked down and stuffed into a sausage casing. We ended up ordering a deep fried boudin burger with cheese. It was made fresh to order. This burger was huge, a bit spicy (as requested), and so freaking delicious. What a great welcome to LA cuisine. I have zero complaints: price ($6.35), taste, service, everything was on point. This Cali girl loves this little gem of a restaurant. I would eat here every day if I lived here.

Was just passing through and stumbled on DezMeaux’s! They served the best boudin I have ever tasted! No kidding! The staff were friendly and offered me a sampled immediately upon entering the store. They were nice and courteous and handled the afternoon rush very well. I will definitely visit again in the near future to try more boudin.

We’ve picked up from here a couple of times in the past now and this has become one of our favorite places for boudin. We got boudin today and it was excellent. The texture seemed different from before – possibly the more glutenous medium-grain rice is used rather than starchy long-grain rice. This made for a great texture of the filling and the rice itself. The flavor of this link is spicy, well-rounded and has lots of black pepper. Very glad we finally stopped in and that we’re not far from them. Service is good and can’t wait to try their chicken!

This hidden gem was highly recommended by a reliable Louisiana resident. We were in Baton Rouge on business. As a TX resident, I did not even know how to pronounce boudin. We stopped by to buy frozen boudin to go. The staff was so gracious and gave us samples to taste. So we bought 2 lbs of cooked boudin and were recommended boudin stuffed wings. We bought 2 dozen. Our lunch turned into a roadtrip feast. We ate boudin and chicken wings the whole drive back to San Antonio. And we have 20 lbs of frozen boudin in our freezer. Dezmeaux’s Boudin rocks.
