A quick stop at the Daufuskie Store and Eatery to split a sandwich. Basically a general store that sells amazing sandwiches. We had the Smokey (see description in photo) and loved it!

Oh, it’s simple for sure- a nice store and nearby bar/sandwich-y or basket-y eatery. You order at the bar and they bring it out. The tuna and chicken sandwich are way yummy!

What a special little place. We didn’t have much time and needed something to eat. The staff cooked us up an awesome pizza within like 10 minutes! They make you feel like one of the locals rather than a tourist.

Food was very expensive. Everyone was really nice to us. A few times the atmosphere was very full of anxiety. The owner was screaming and cussing at his help. He never mistreated us but he sure did the poor girl that was helping him. We started going to the other store on the island in a place called Freeport

Stopped here on a Monday when some other places were closed but was not disappointed. We had the “Smokey” sandwich and it was great. Stopped by again later in the day for a drink. The staff was friendly and efficient. A real slice of island life.

Loved it! Great little store with a lot of things you might just need! Including a selection of ice cream treats. Will be back to try out the restaurant. Super friendly owner and they accept debit/credit cards.

There are only 2 places to buy basic house needs or staples on the island and this is one of them. I realize this is a tourist location and there’s a matter of convenience to get things you may need while staying here, but the prices are crazy. The brunette cashier wasn’t rude but extremely unfriendly and hated answering questions anyone asked regarding island food spots, activities or directions (not my questions, but others in line ahead of me). I paid for my $10 gallon of water without receiving a hello, thank you, or a smile. A couple miles down the road is a larger store with a much friendlier, more appreciative staff. Prices were slightly better at the other store but for me, attitude goes farther anyway.
