dhom is a unique dining experience that accentuates the brightness and vibrancy of Southeast Asian food & drinks. Our menu is composed of mostly small plates (similar to tapas style dining) while also featuring some banh-mi options during the daytime. dhom was created by Chef/Owner Soulayphet Schwader. dhom is Chef Phet’s childhood nickname. It translates from Laotian to English to mean; dark or night. dhom is an expression of what Chef Phet likes to eat and cook. His local, seasonal menu is responsibly sourced, of the highest quality, and best when shared with friends in our East Village gem that is all at once intimate, inviting, and fresh.

Absolutely delicious! Such a vibes and amazing playlist as well. Highly recommend getting the spring rolls, the chicken skewers, rice salads (it’s spicy!) and finish off with the strawberry/peach rice pudding.

One of the best Happy Hour values in the city. Enjoyed their Rum & Honey cocktail, and the skewers and Brussel sprouts were delish.

All the dishes look like from an appetizer menu and lacking some main dishes. We ordered half the menu and still feel not enough food. The flavors are OK and our drinks were served when we almost finished eating. I probably won’t come back.

Awesome food, great drinks, wonderful service and great happy hour deals. Located on one of the best blocks in the whole city, will absolutely be coming back. Crispy rice salad and Passionfruit vodka cocktail were to die for

Wow happy hour prices here were incredible! We got a spot here at 5 pm and it was so yummy and so cheap.

I’ve been on a crazy South East Asian food kick, so when I walked by Dhom hungry on a Sunday afternoon I had to check it out.

Exceptional experience at Dhom for a summer dinner date. Each dish was bright, fresh, and laden with flavor. The skewers are of course what they’re known for but don’t miss the Brussel Sprouts or Coconut Rice either. Really feels like a hidden gem in the East Village.

I only had the crunchy coconut rice salad and a cocktail, but the flavors were amazing in the salad. Delicious, satisfying, spicy…truly a great experience. Will definitely go back for more of a meal. Staff is super friendly too.

Can’t recommend dhom enough! The food is incredibly flavorful, each dish distinct from the next. Service was very attentive, even sitting on the street, our water glasses were never empty. The restaurant vibe is dimly lit and romantic with a good amount of seating.

Cozy place with great cocktails. I got the vodka passion fruit cocktail which was delicious. The skewers were also good. Spring rolls were decent. Wish the menu was bigger but I think this place is mainly about the drinks first, food second.
