Food. Skip the hot wings. The hot sauce was poured on top of the fried wings instead of tossed, so they weren’t evenly coated. All steaks were overcooked, compared to the actual temperature requested. Lacked a little flavor as well. If you order a side salad, a small bowl is provided for the self served salad bar. One meal came out much later than everyone else’s. A manager said it was coming, and minutes later, the server said the kitchen lost the ticket. She gave another update with delivery time but once again, it took even longer than she estimated. Guarantee the server forgot to put it in because how else can the kitchen lose a ticket for that one entree but not any other entrees on the same ticket? Everyone pretty much finished their meal when the last entree was delivered. Also, right after she set the last entree, she asked if everyone else wanted togo boxes. It was pretty rude, in my opinion. Go ahead and box your leftovers while the last person begin to eat their super late meal.

The atmosphere was very nice, the service was pretty good and the food for the money was even better. One of the staff members, I don’t know whomever she is but, she needs to understand that your voice carries alot in a small room. The negative comment made us leave earlier than intended. I will add that our waitress was very nice and respectful.

Food was pretty good, but not as good as the bill indicates. Service was ok, but was missing the personal touch that its predecessor had, when the hostess would check on your table. Wait staff need uniforms and look professional. Bus boys dont need to be coming to my table asking for my plate just as I finish my meal. The whole place misses atmosphere. No music, no table cloths, just Formica top diner style tables. No little oil filled lamps on the table. For a fairly high priced restaurant where you have come to expect everything to be great, it delivered the charm of a roadside truck stop. Unless there are changes, I will not return.

This was our first time to eat at Diamond Jim’s in Meridian. Ordered the ribeye rare. It arrived re warmed, dry, and tough. There was no juice, so I knew that it had been reheated. It was definitely not rare. The laugh I had was when I complained to the waitress. She offered to “Take it back to the cook and have him cook it more.” They just passed me a old steak that had been reheated. Cooking it again was definitely not the answer, unless you wanted to make shoes out of them. Theodore bar and potatoes were good. But the stake was horrible.

The water with lemon was good. I ordered a Seafood platter (I should’ve ordered steak).Fish was hot but had zero flavor at all. Everything on the platter was flavorless and overly salted if that makes sense. The coleslaw was good. Once we finally got service, it was okay. If you go here and expect rolls; know that you have to request them or they won’t offer them. I give them a 2 because they’re fairly new and have a lot of room for improvement. Would’ve been a 1* Paid a hefty price for food that was barely edible.

This was the second time I have been to this restaurant. I will not be returning. Maybe I had high hopes when I was told this was the best steak house in the area, as far as I am concerned Diamond Jim’s and Logans are on par with each other.

Got there around 5:15. Only waited about 20 minutes before being seated. Order was taken promptly. We enjoyed the salad bar while waiting for our entree. Steak was cooked to order & delicious. The manager, Chae, was also very helpful when we needed things filled up on the salad bar. Will definitely be back!

This place has by far the best steaks I’ve ever eaten at any restaurant ever. Their salad bar is really good too. Get the king cut ribeye, trust me. It’s sooooo good. Watch the step walking in and out of the front door though. It can trip you.
