So I have been to 3 different locations and I’m always happy with the food and this location in particular as far as the food was wonderful but I’m a stickler about being clean and customer service. The service was on point but the cleanliness marks it way down. The kitchen was not well managed and the dining room was a complete disaster and I left with my boots sticking to the floor. Editing my former 5 star review from 4 years ago. Dickey’s has always been more expensive than other restaurants that serve food with a fast(ish) turnaround time, but that higher cost was always offset by ample portion sizes and excellent tasting food. This most recent visit I had was very disappointing. I bought the two meat plate which cost just over $16. I ordered a sausage and the brisket along with fries. What I got back was only 4 small slices of the sausage, and a few slices of brisket that were very dry. The only redeeming quality of the meal were the fries (which were delicious). I feel that the value proposition for us as customers has been lost. It’s not a horrible place to go, but I definitely feel that my money is better spent elsewhere.

My husband and I came in this evening to have dinner and we are never unhappy about our food. The real reason for this review is I would like to say Thank you for the crew that was working this evening and handling things very professionally as the hand to fill many online orders and had ran out of some things. I would also like to give the young lady that I would assume was the manger on duty you are a ROCK STAR . So the chopped brisket was completely dried and inedible and I had to toss it. Spoke with the actual owner that same night who assured he’d make it up by sending me vouchers in the mail. Two weeks later, the owner hasn’t delivered on his promise- still no voucher. Slightly disappointed as I was willing to give this place another try but because of the lack of follow through I likely won’t.

The food is pretty good. The cost is expensive, but it’s definitely better then fast food places in the area. Only things I’d say, wish they would listen to what your ordering, and not have selective hearing. Most times I go in there and order more then one thing. I never get all the food I order, but I never been over charged. BRING BACK THE ROLLS!!! THEY ARE REALLY GOOD!!!!

They unfortunately out of several menu items. I didn’t receive the correct order and the store was pretty dirty. The food I did get was pretty good. Except the Mac n Cheese is really bland. Probably be a while till we think about visiting again

Two weeks ago we ate Dickys BBQ from the location in Traverse City, MI and we loved it. Amazing food, large quantities, fresh and crispy fries, overall a great meal. Tonight we went to Dickys BBQ in Jenison and it was like a totally different restaurant. Tiny portions, soggy fries, and had to be reheated. (We live 3 mins away and we’re waiting there for it to finish cooking so it’d be fresh and hot). While there, we had to wait for the mac and cheese to “finish cooking” as i saw them scrape it out if a plastic bag directly into the serving dish.They also forgot our sauces. Overall we were not impressed by this location.

The food wasn’t great, it was good. The service could be much better. The employees weren’t happy because I needed to look over the menu/monitor because it was my first time there (I was the only person in line). They liked to mumble rude comments under their breath. The atmosphere was okay because it was quiet.
