Dickeys has always provided good fast BBQ. This location has been a favorite stop when traveling north. The store has seen better days and the menu had a lot of items crossed off. But, the food was still excellent and the 2 guys working the store were working extra hard to keep everything running smoothly!

The service was good 3 nice boys working and doing all they can but the owner is setting it up to fail. The ice cream machine is broken. There’s no ice. They are out of almost all of their items. The fries and Mac and cheese were good but that’s it. The rest of the food isn’t even good. And I didn’t even mention that the buns are frozen and they can’t warm it up. The brisket wasn’t even brisket. At best a 1/10 or less. Someone came in saying he knew the owner and accused the worker of saying f u to him when that never happened. The food is exceptionally dry, won’t be coming back.

The food was good . However they were out of a lot of food.. plus out of ice… The times I have been in this place, everything has always been good.. I felt really bad for the 3 hard working boys that was running the place. They were trying their best to get every order made for each customer. Where was the shift manager or owner???…I really wish the owner and/manager was there to solved issues or at least closed the doors for the night due to shortage of food and ice. Tomorrow is always a brand new day.

It seems like it’s slowly going down hill each time we visit. It’s an hour drive so we only go every couple months. This time we got huge slabs of blubber instead of pork not meat, chicken was great, brisket was not cut just a big piece so half fat half meat…I can do that at home. Out of ice so warm pop, no fries, no onion tangles, no ice cream…so many things gone. Sad to watch it fail, and it’s too expensive to keep trying.

We have dined here many times. In the last couple years, the service has gone down hill. The ice cream machine is never working,they don’t even have ice for the pop machine, and half of the menu is crossed out. It’s really sad, I hope it improves.

Not sure what’s happened to dickeys? New Management? They never have anything, out of chicken and “hot sides” the last few times. Half the stuff is crossed off the menu. Never was a problem In the past.

If you are in the area, I highly recommend you try this awesome restaurant, The beef is slow cooked to perfection the ribs are tender and falling of the bone good and that is without any sauce. The place gives you that an authentic Texas barbeque spot feel and Mary and her staff are super friendly. When you talk to her you feel that his is her passion and not just trying to make a buck. I give her and her husband high marks for bringing a great taste and feel of Texas here to Minnesota. Thanks for the great experience. I am really happy we saw the sign on the side of Hwy 35W or we would have missed this awesome experience.

This place used to be good food when it first open. Now it seems like it’s in survival mode and food quality gone down hill. I wouldn’t recommend this place anymore just sad used to be a good place to eat.
