Picked up our weekly carry out of the picnic pack. Usually it is very good, looks good and tasty. Tonight, the only issue was with the family side of fried okra. It was WAY overcooked. Some pieces were not edible. In addition, the Styrofoam container had melted holes because it was so hot. I do like the food to be hot or warm, but when it’s melting something that shouldn’t be eaten, I think that’s a problem.

I will tell you what, I have been to my fair share of Dickey’s BBQ restaurants but this one was absolutely fantastic! The woman who took our order was as courteous and friendly as can be. Too often it seems to me, businesses treat us consumers as if they’re doing us a favor by taking our money. Not true of this business. They make you feel welcome the moment you walk in the door. The food was cooked well and was flavorful. The employees all showed great attention to every detail and you definitely got the sense that they wanted you to be happy not satisfied but happy that you made the choice to have a meal there. If you have never been to this location then come check them out. I will also say this. If there’s another BBQ place that’s a little bit closer to your house, skip them and still go to this one. You’ll be glad that you did!
