I hate to write bad reviews, but this past visit was not good. My husband and I ordered the beef brisket and it was disgusting. It was very greasy, had a mushy consistency and looked unappealing. What’s disappointing is that we’ve had the brisket in the past and it had been awesome. This was becoming my husband’s go to place since it’s close to our house. The service has been decent, but you can clearly tell the employees who work there don’t like their job or seem unmotivated. So I assume they don’t care about the food and this became apparent on this past visit….disappointed.

I’ve had a great experience here time and time again! I was just there today, at 2:30pm mind you (not an hour where you’d expect the freshest food), and my meal was fantastic!! Not only were the ribs finger licking, fall off the bone delightful, but they offer SOO many different gluten free options. You wouldn’t think BBQ would be hard to find in GF options, but it is surprisingly so. The baked beans are not gluten free here, which is a bummer because I love baked beans, but ALL of the BBQ sauces are. Bathroom was clean, gent behind the counter was friendly. I don’t think you can ask anything else from a counter service BBQ joint. I’m hooked! My husband loved his pulled pork sandwich too. Customer for life.

Ate there. The brisket was falling apart and we were told that it’s because it smoked for so long and that makes it super good. That probably passes most times here in Highlands Ranch but we lived in Texas and know that good brisket when sliced stays together and is soft but firm enough not to crumble or break. Dickey’s brisket was basically dried out which is why is was so crumbly. After tasting it, my suspicions were confirmed. Really nice staff but the BBQ is not prepared well at all. I imagine this being a franchise type place contributes to that.

Disgusting! We ordered through Grubhub and received a quarter of our order, they forgot all of the main dishes. What we did receive was incredibly unappealing. The chicken looked mutilated, the macaroni was dry, and my daughter’s chicken nuggets were frozen. We threw it all away. I offered my dog a bite of macaroni to see if he’d eat it and he walked away. I feel toxic after looking at this food. Grubhub tried several times to get in touch with the restaurant to no avail. I am now heading to the grocery store to pick up food for dinner. What a horrible experience!

Ordered online last night at 8:00 pm (they close at 9). The doors were locked and the restaurant was closed. My husband had to knock on the door. He was told our food was ready, but it was a slow night so they were just goin to close up early. One meal was completely wrong…. they obviously just took it upon themselves to make replacements because they didn’t want to cook the items that we ordered. Nothing was said about it and we didn’t realize until we got home. I called…. again before 9 and no answer. Weird. I left a message and still have no received a response. Terrible customer service!

I have read all the reviews for this place and still decided to go and eat since I was in the mood for Ribs and this was the closest place to me. The best way for me to describe the place is Five Guys Burgers and Fries. You order in the same fashion, (which was confusing because they don’t write anything down or even have a memory long enough to even finish ONE persons order) you pay first in the same fashion (which the prices where what I would consider VERY high for not being served at a table) and the atmosphere is much like it with the scattered tables that are good for a quick lunch but not for a sit down DINNER. The bbq wasn’t “Award winning” however it was good. The meat was slow cooked on site and the sides were actually all very tasty. I had the rib platter while my son had the same and my wife had the hoogie style sandwich with a mix of pork and chicken. Everything was good to eat and satisfied the need for bbq. They only have 3 varieties of sauces, normal (aka original) spicy, and sweet…… i suppose you could blend them together if you wanted to as they were a dish your own sauce table. They were all pretty tasty and in fact, WERE a little spicy once you ate them in a large quantity DIPPED on the actual ribs (the spicy one that is) Over all I would say that I would return for the food….but I would just understand that I am NOT there for a “date” night with my wife unless we wanted to “slum” it. Oh, the last note….most people commented on the visual appearance of the staff… i totally agree. If a major achne faced kid touching your food is a total turn off, don’t go here. If a long hard, no hat or hair net wearing person touching your food is unappealing, don’t go here. The only DECENT looking guy who you might not MIND touching your food was BRAND new.

The food was great. The customer service was not. I got a kids meal for free. They didn’t want to give my daughter her free drink. I was with my friends they gave the kids free drinks with no problem. But when it came to my daughter they had a problem with giving her free drink.

The BBQ is freakin amazing. Fall off the bone ribs, melt in your mouth pull pork, and sauces of awesomeness. I can’t wait to get there to chow down again… Keep it hot and saucy❤

Uh where do I start? chicken nudget is still frozen in the plate, fountain machine is borken so no juice, brisket is tough and dry, bathroom lights are all out, some employees are grumpy … , you got the picture.

All Dickey’s are independently owned, this Dickey’s has terrible service & small portion sizes for the sides. I’d suggest going to the Dickey’s on Arapahoe Rd, much better food, taste & portion size.
