I really wish I had read the reviews before eating here. Getting a simple question answered from the gal working the front was like pulling teeth. Not only was very shy and timid, she was wearing Apple AirPods, and had to have either been listening to music or on the phone because she was very unresponsive. This was my first visit to the store so I was not sure what to expect. I ordered the 3 meat plate, thinking I can have a variety and have some food left over. Since the 3 meet plate was $20, I was shocked by the portion size. There was barely a small palm size of each type of meat. The chicken was delicious and tender. The pork was decent, but required a lot of sauce to not be dry. The Kabasa/jalapeño sausage was hardly edible. It was so dried out that it was practically a different color than it should have been. The Mac and cheese was fine and the fried okra was hot and fresh. The decorations in the store are adorable and inviting. As I was sitting and eating, a gal started sweeping the dining room. She started sweeping right near me, which is disgusting in itself. She swept right under my table and I had to lift my feet up AS I WAS SITTING THERE EATING! Are you kidding me?! I immediately packed up and left. The thought of inhaling floor dust helped me lose my appetite. I will likely not visit this store again and won’t recommend it to my loved ones, unfortunately.

I placed an order through Uber Eats for 3 baked potatoes and a small order of fried okra. When the driver got to the restaurant they told him that they only had one baked potato left but they could turn the other two into sandwiches with a side. So we did that and got fries as the side for the two sandwiches. When we received the order; the fries were burnt but also cold, the meat for the sandwiches was cold, the fried okra was cold, and the potato was sliced heavily to one side and all the toppings pretty much on one side.

AMAZING FOOD GREAT SERVICE! Nothing beats a great lunch spot when they are ready to assist you in ordering and offering up the specials. Yes that’s right. The brisket was perfect with an abundance of mounded meat on a soft but lightly toasted bun. The fries were the homemade style cooked perfectly. My food was warm and service was prompt! Yeah, I’m bragging but they deserve it. Great food, good service!

Ordered sandwiches to pickup at dinner time on Friday and they were cold. Cold like they came from a refrigerator. They bun and meat were dried out too. I tried to get some BBQ sauce to go and there was no cups to put it in. The sauce bar was filthy. There were plenty of employees standing around. Previous visits to the restaurant were good. I might give it one more chance.

This place continues to go downhill. We used to order here frequently, but then were repeatedly disappointed by the quality of food. After some time, we decided to give it another try today. It arrived COLD. The brisket was extremely dry. The beans had no bacon and very watery, gross. I could go on. All of it was just bad! So disappointed.

Just received my $120 order. Pork was stringy and too dry to eat, the “Texas Toast” was a total joke, it looked like smashed thin white bread, the bacon and onion green beans had no bacon or onion and were the consistency of baby food. The brisket burnt ends were crunchy and the chicken reminded me of cafeteria food. The one positive I will say is the jalapeno cheddar kielbasa was good. For what it’s worth, our pets will enjoy it…just not the brisket burnt ends because they’re hard as a rock. I have video of my fork slamming on it so you can hear it sounds like a rock. I ordered takeout, two pulled pork sandwhich and a couple sides. After waiting 15 minutes, I walked in for the person up front to give me extremely bad attitude claiming they had a busy day and they were out of pulled pork. (As if a Tuesday really ran you out of pork) Not only was her attitude towards me extremely poor, she didn’t offer to make me anything else in exchange and only offered to refund me. What’s the point of taking my phone number down during the online order process if they aren’t even going to bother calling me in the actual event of them running out of something. Extremely disappointed in the service provided.
