I can’t help but rave about my unforgettable experience at Diego’s Eastside! From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted by an incredibly attentive bar staff, with a special shout-out to Syd, who went above and beyond to ensure every moment of my visit was exceptional.

The staff at this place was nice. We found the food at this place tasted good. The portions were very, extremely, small. We ordered a “smash burger’ with two beef patties, fried chicken tacos, and for our child tenders with fries. Each plate cost around $17 (tax is a thing) and had very little food. Our tacos had little garlic aioli; we asked for more. They charged us $1 to bring us what looked like a 1 oz tiny thimble of it. This place looks pound foolish. Our customer experience was very negative; not the employees fault. Perhaps they should advertise “warning, our plates portions are not such than a normal adult can eat a plate to consider it a full meal”. At those prices, not even table chips or bread were offered. Will not be returning. Happy to discuss this review or situation further. Best wishes.

After 12mi of biking into Providence I saw Diegos and got so excited wondering if it was affiliated with the Newport location(which I LOVE) and this is their newest spot. We had bikes with us and it was a beautiful day to sit outside and enjoy the patio and ambiance. Chris our server was so accommodating and allowed us to park our bikes behind where we were seated in the corner to not be in anyone’s way. The cocktails are what really excites me with many delicious options. I went with the Bride of Carlos and Bad Larry (SO GOOD)!! I ordered a couple small plates for myself Mini Quesadillas and the Pork Belly Endive Bites which were pretty good. Chris and Daisy provided excellent customer service and were very friendly. The decor is so beautiful and vibrant. If you’re driving to this location there’s on street parking. There’s also cute little shops to walk around and explore the area. Will always come to Diegos for the craft cocktails!

Diego’s in Wayland Square offers a full range of “Mexican” style fare. The food is delicious and the ambiance super interesting. The bar, centrally located, is enormous and exceedingly well stocked. I had a a chimichanga which was scrumptious and enormous. Their prices are reasonable but their Playlist was loud and 90’s pop and the inside temperature was comfortable if you are a polar bear.. As with any place in Wayland Square, parking is a challenge.

I was so excited when Diego’s came to Wayland. I was looking forward to having great Mexican food in Wayland Square! I’ve been here at least a dozen times than I can say that I find the same dishes to be very inconsistent in taste and flavor in each visit. Sometimes the food is amazing and other times it’s either cold or too salty. Also the music will not be for some people. It definitely has an edge. So I’m afraid I can only give this restaurant A four star rating because of the inconsistency. I do recommend the shrimp and grits dish. That has always been outstanding.

First time coming to this location and we were blown away with the food, staff and ambiance. We sat outside overlooking Wayland Ave and it was the perfect setting for a date night. We started off with a pain killer and the silver fox to go with the Mexican street corn guacamole. For our entrees we shared the fish tacos, carne asada tacos and Al Pastor tacos… all which were phenomenal but the Al Pastor takes first place. To finish we shared the churros and they were by far the best we’ve ever had. If you haven’t had a chance to check out this restaurant or even this location I would highly recommend you do so, you won’t be disappointed!

By far the BEST Mexican food we have had since actually being in Mexico. My only complaint would be the seating is super uncomfortable if you are there for any length of time. Food and service were fantastic

The restaurant looks nice but the food is bland. This is the second time we’ve been and been disappointed. I really want it to be good, but couldn’t be bothered to finish my food because it just lacked flavor and was dry. Also it was so loud I couldn’t hear the person sitting directly next to me. Like someone else said in reviews, there is up selling by the waiting staff suggesting we order additional things we didn’t express any interest in, then we had to awkwardly say no. A drink, a side and a main ended up costing a lot of money for food which was below average. In general the staff were nice and the drinks were nice.
