Very simple Indian restaurant. They say it’s not spicy but it is. Ask for some sauce to cut the heat.

Dil-e Punjab Deli is a small Indian deli that serves up pre-made vegetarian small bites, and platter as well as coffee and teas. it also has a small variety of snacks and packaged eats. this place basically is a waystation for cabbies, ride-hail drivers, and mostly other workers of South Asian descent. the space is small and kinda worn-in. there are some seats if you need a place to eat, but i just takeout bc it’s a bit too cramped for me, given the pandemic etc.

Incredible Indian buffet casually served in a Chelsea deli. And yes, counter “seating” only. This place is real NYC. ❤️

The food was good and spicy! However, I have some critiques. Only one roti bread?? Come on… give me at least two! Half the pieces of okra were inedible because they weren’t ripe. And finally, two small Ras Malai (that I watched be scooped out of a grocery store freezer pack) for $4! Outrageous! I’ll probably be back but my expectations will be lower.
