First experience at DiMattias Lounge & Restaurant was very good. The building itself is located in a quaint old town. The inside is old, charming and has lots of character. It’s very appealing and cozy. The overall meal was very tasty. The mixed vegetables, sautéed mushrooms and steaks were delicious! The salad to start the meal was just iceberg with too much vinegar, couple onions and one tomato. The lemon drop martinis – made perfect. Based on the side of pasta, I personally would not recommend pasta at those prices. We did enjoy cheese cake at the end of our meal. The waitress was personable and friendly. The only problem was there was only one waitress and bartender. Luckily we weren’t in a hurry, though we were getting hungry. I recommend DiMattia’s Lounge & Restaurant for a quiet dinner out. They do have a few tables outside. Remember service is slow so go before you’re too hungry.

Hands down the best steak I have ever had!!! Their new Sunday waitress was on the ball. I didn’t need to ask for a thing except her phone number. Lol Definitely an incredible server. The atmosphere is perfect for a romantic dinner if your looking to impress your date.

Cool little spot and the only liquor license in town! We moved to Allentown recently and decided to stop in and check the place out. We sat at the bar and had a few beers and appetizers. Very intimate feel. The bartender was friendly and the owner/chef came out to introduce himself. Overall everything was very fresh and delicious. We will definitely be back.

Best place in Allentown New Jersey to get food. The chef is outstanding. The customer service is out of this world. The steak is phenomenal along with the penne pasta. The chef has been cooking for many years. It is a family owned restaurant. Coming here and eating the food is just a little part of the experience. Meeting the chef is even more of a greater gift in life that I could’ve ever experienced. This restaurant is hands-down the best in all of New Jersey. He can cook anything. He’s been doing it longer than most people in the industry. He has owned his restaurant longer than anybody in Allentown New Jersey. The chef is A good person. A great guy. With morals and values. The family owned restaurant has been the best thing that has happened to Allentown New Jersey. Coming to this restaurant you’ll see one thing is present a great atmosphere full of laughs and good times. The menu has everything on it you could think of. This is the definition of an Italian style restaurant beyond compare to anything else you will find around.

Run down, dirty, and the food was awful. No idea how the ratings are as positive as they are. Best to look elsewhere. The owner/chef is in his late 80’s, and needs to sell/retire. The place used to be decent, but no more.

Absolutely awful. Food took forever and it was bad. Waitress took forever to come to the table after self-seating. 2 chicken parm sandwiches over 30 mins in a dead restaurant. Sandwiches had a brush if any of sauce, tasteless, and essentially no cheese. It tasted like frozen chicken was heated up and thrown into bread with no seasoning. Sodas were watered down.

absolutely horrible. sat ourselves down as per instructed at 4:20 pm. ordered sodas that were flat- had to exchange them for iced tea that we weren’t told was unsweet. waited, waited, waited… at 5:05 pm she comes over to tell us that our pizza is going in next after the table behind us……

Honestly, this place is a joke and I do not understand all the good reviews. Unbearably hot, to the point we were all literally sweating. Ran out of the appetizers we wanted. No choice of salad dressing. Bread looked like what I buy at Shoprite down the road. Meals for 20-30 dollars which are small portions, and don’t make sense. Descriptions of items not accurate, linguine and clam sauce with surprise! spinach, capers, and mushrooms? server did not know the menu, got a double order of veggies for a side dish and it was basically 2 pieces of broccoli and some onions. One person’s meal never came, until we threatened to walk out if it wasn’t on the table in 5 minutes when we were all done with ours already, and all he ordered was spaghetti. Another person’s “side” dish was what the meal already was described as coming with? Order a baked potato and never got it. Got the bill and it was added up wrong…. I mean… I can go on and on. What shows I am not exaggerating is it was our table and 2 others at 7pm on a Friday night. This is laughable and no one knows what they are doing. Stay clear of this place unless you want to be severely let down. Plenty of real Italian,upscale places around that don’t need to try so hard to impress that actually know what they are doing.
