New favorite dim sum in the area! We came in on a Saturday morning and it was jam packed (would recommend coming in early, there was a long line by the end we left) – yet, in spite of the rush the service was super efficient and all of the staff was very friendly! The food itself was amazing, and I’m still thinking about the Charsiu Bao and the Shrimp Shumai! Highly recommend, worth a visit.

My family and I ate here for the first time, in celebration of my birthday, and I must say it was fantastic. The food was fresh, delicious, and an authentic experience. The space has a modern setting with its decor but it’s easy to forget you’re in Catonsville. The staff is attentive and quick to clear plates, the dim sum carts come frequently and they offer a huge variety of dishes, not only for dim sum but from the kitchen as well. The staff even gifted me a small dining set for the special occasion. I will definitely be coming back many times and bringing all of my friends. Thank you, Dim Sum Palace!

BEST CHINESE PLACE I’VE EVER BEEN TOO!!! Been waiting for this restaurant to open for months now, and it did not disappoint and was definitely worth the wait! I went with my family today, which was also their grand opening, and O M G it was the best Chinese place I’ve ever been to. Not only was the food MAD DELICIOUS and well presented (I mean, look at those photos), but the service was great!!!

Friends were talking about this newest dim sum place in Catonsville so went to check it out. The dining room is spacious, bright and has a that nice new feel where the bathroom is clean and the carpet isn’t sticky. There were over a dozen front of house staff although their system is a bit chaotic. Remember who your designated server is as that’s the only person who will refill your tea, get you some boxes or a serving spoon even as multiple staff walk by. They will all respond politely but will spend more time finding your server than it’d take to get you what you wanted. The food was solid over all, with some things better than the nearby competition and some not so much. For example, their roast pork pastry is the best in the area with a nice flaky crust that’s not oily at all and the stuffing not too wet leaving you with a soggy interior. On the opposite end of the spectrum, the hargow was disappointing. It came out nice and plump and has the 9 traditional folds which looked promising. However the consistency of the wrap was totally missing the “bounce”. Typically that means a lower proportion of tapioca starch in the recipe, which makes it easier to work with but you lose out on the texture. Overall I found the meal equally enjoyable as the competition and definitely plan to go back and try other dishes. The only reason I gave them a 4 star instead of 5 is because the price point in general is one to two dollars higher than other places on each item. I would love to see a high end dim sum place in the area like in Toronto and Vancouver and would be happy to pay the price but I think they need to kick it up a notch to convince customers it’s worth it but I am excited about this new place and wish them success.

When i found out there is an authentic Cantonese restaurant in Baltimore i had to run and try this place. It DID NOT disappoint. I went there with my kids. Our server John oh hes great! I told him about my dietary restriction (we dont eat pork) he made sure whatever was served on my table had no pork. He took really good care of us.
