Do not get the BBQ. Do not order the sushi. Service is awful and they automatically give themselves a 18% tip without notice. I checked the menu and it did not indicate an automatic tip. We were a party of 4.

I ordered take out from here and it was a great deal (buy one get one California rolls). I also got the “friends roll,” which was absolutely delicious. I tried the tuna rolls as well but they tasted a little bit off, and the wasabi provided tasted more like flour paste than spice. That being said, the specialty rolls here were phenomenal and I hope they get better wasabi soon.

The service was very polite and attentive once we ordered but was a little slow to start because they were very busy. But have patience because the food is great!!! Very casual setting that mostly serves students but it’s worth the trip, the sushi chef is amazing and will come out and talk to you if you have questions. Try the mango shrimp sushi it is delicious and something you can’t find anywhere else!

I got some sushi takeout and was surprised by how much I liked the specialty veg roll. I like that you can order online and pay when you get there. I don’t love that you can’t put in an order until they’ve opened. Being able to order in advance would be quite nice and have less disruption to your day. One note, I ordered first thing when they opened. The confirmation said it would be ready in 40 minutes, but they messaged it was ready after only 13 minutes. If you’re planning based on the time they give you, just beware it may mean you have to change up your plans.

We’re always looking for new sushi places to try and this place was great. We arrived around 6 on a Friday night and were the only in house diners for about 10 minutes. They seem to get a ton of to-go orders. We ordered the Spicy Girl Roll, Queen Roll, Philly Roll, snd Scallop Roll. All were fresh and tasty but our favorite was the Queen with spicy crab and mango. We also shared the Tempura dinner, which was super crispy with a ton of veggies and 3 shrimp and served with some of the best rice we’ve ever eaten. The place quickly filled to capacity before we left. If you love fresh sushi, its a must ty.

My family discovered Diners 2+1 about a six months ago. We enjoy eating sushi there at least once per week. Sometimes twice! All of our experiences have been very positive with the food and staff. We’re so very happy they are in the neighborhood and doing so well! It is one of our two go-to restaurants.

The food was okay but it really depended on what you picked. We selected the lunch special of salad, miso soup, and two sushi rolls for $11. We picked a spicy California roll (good), spicy tuna, spicy salmon, and tune/avocado rolls. The spicy tuna and spicy salmon rolls were mass produced for the lunch service and we decided after one bite that we didn’t love them. These two rolls (spicy tuna and spicy salmon) are the mushy fish that is mixed with the spicy seasoning. However, the good, the spicy California roll was better than just a regular California roll. It was seasoned well and while it uses imitation crab meat it was a nice tasting roll. The tuna/avocado roll was the best of them all and it was a nice fresh slice of tuna and had a nice avocado piece.

Our new favorite sushi place!! When we arrived the staff members were all very sweet, and our server was so patient with me. This is a plus because I can never make up my mind! Especially when there are this many great options to choose from. We got the sashimi platter deluxe, the pretty roll and my favorite, the mango roll. All of the fish was very fresh and presented beautifully. Not to mention the amazing value! This whole plate was around $60. Some places would charge that much for the sashimi alone! My favorite day-to-day sushi go to! The fish is always fresh, the prices are reasonable, and the service is always wonderful. They have both great nigiri and simple rolls (the fish quality is always top notch) and delicious big rolls too! Enjoy!
