This diner we saw as we were passing through Canneyville . There’s a deli in the front part with local fixin’s…a buffet to the left. Fresh, home cooked food. Every night the menu is different. The atmosphere is old school but dont let that fool ya. This diner is a gem that needs to be more than just word of mouth. We hated to leave. There’s also antiques for sale.

Love this place! Awesome atmosphere. Super friendly service. Great food breakfast and dinner. Outstanding buffet. They smoke the meat right there. Super sweet bakery items. I recommend the Dinner Bell.

I forgot to call in our to-go order so I just placed my order when I got there, I was on my way home after less than 10 minutes. That’s faster than most fast food places nowadays. Food was excellent and generous portion sizes. Highly recommend!

We just happened to be in the area and I found this place on Google. It was nothing fancy, but the buffet was very good, the staff was friendly. The owner came and sat at our table for a few minutes. I would highly recommend The Dinner Bell.

The food was pretty good, especially the pork chops. The pinto beans were seasoned well and had plenty of soup in them. The fish could have been crisper, the chicken livers were too done. The desserts were ok, nothing about them stood out. It was a little pricey for the lack of variety. We could have gone to another buffet we like for the same price and a lot more variety and a wide variety of awesome desserts. If my friends wanted to try it I’d go back, but I doubt we’ll go back on our own.

Turkey & dressing was dry and tasteless. They ran out of chicken breasts with almost 2 hours of time left before closing and said they would not fix more. Vegetables on buffet were only mashed potatoes, green beans & canned sweet potatoes, nothing worth the $13.95 price they were charging. Desserts were nothing special, peach cobbler wasn’t cooked all the way through, with the breading being gummy and not browned at all. When my friend and I told the cashier the truth when she asked how everything was, she retrieved the owners, who were rude. The woman argued with everything we said. The husband of the duo was belligerent, insulted me and walked off. They took a situation wherein we were only trying to help with our input, and turned it into one that left us (literally) with a bad taste in our mouth. A simple apology was all we wanted. As it is, we’ll never be back, and will be gladly tell others about our experience. In fact, we already have.

Great southern food in a clean, rustic setting. Seating is fellowship style at long tables. The buffet is always full with a good selection of meat, vegetables, and desserts. The locals are always here, so you usually sit with someone friendly!
