The waitress was attentive, happy and helpful. Happy hour was great with $5 pints and well drinks. Happy hour also had some delicious apps including chimichurri shoestring fries, jerk chicken, chicken sandwich, and more. There’s a few TVs for sports including a projection screen that had NBA playoffs on. The other TV had a re-run of the Indy 500 but they were happy to change it to the NBA game. Cocktails and beer selection we’re plenty including IPAs, hazy, pale ale, stout and more.

I really wanted this place to be better than it turned out. First of all I want to acknowledge that service was great, we were immediately greeted and our server was great throughout our visit. Our food was out in an unbelievable amount of time considering what we’re had ordered but it tasted like it had been cooked earlier and just reheated. I had ordered a beer that came out just slightly below room temperature which was a definite change from the previous restaurants that have occupied this space. We ordered a desert item that had frostbite all the way through and that was when we decided that this was not going to be a neighborhood spot for us which is unfortunate.

Discovery is an instant hit in Chico. Owned by Chico locals, the ambiance is exactly what I’m looking for while dining out with family or stopping by for a drink at the bar. The restaurant, bar, and restrooms were all clean and the whole place felt comfortable and welcoming. The staff is friendly and the food was prepared quickly and was DELICIOUS. My chicken sandwich was excellent and I don’t know what they fermented the coleslaw cabbage/carrots in but it was divine. Coleslaw can be such an afterthought at most restaurants but this was most definitely not the case. It was also served with a generous portion of string fries cooked excellently and not too greasy.

I went with my cousin for his birthday and ordered the chicken sandwich. I need say I was very disappointed in my food. The chicken had a very thin crust and the crust was burnt and the chicken was almost undercooked. I ate it because it was my cousins birthday and well I was hungry but i wish it had been better.

Came in a couple weeks ago. Waitress was great, food was good, everything was fresh and you could tell. The brussel sprouts with a hot honey sauce was so friggin good. I could eat that all day. Would recommend. It shows that these guys know this business.

Love! I have only been once so far. We got the burger and popcorn chicken. Both were super amazing! Great service, everyone working there greeted us and was incredibly friendly. Cannot wait to return! Highly recommend.

Overall great food, service and atmosphere. Only minor issue is the motion sensor in the bathrooms food not seem to be calibrated quite right and so sometimes the light shuts off while still in use.
