We had a good experience at dish after a visit to Descanso Gardens. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and the food was good enough. It’s a large restaurant, so even though it was packed and Mother’s Day, we were seated fairly quickly without a reservation.

The food here is decent. It’s pretty good for a diner. We all had sandwiches/burgers and our kid had a corn dog. The people are friendly, but the service is a bit slow. (We came for lunch and it was relatively slow the majority of our visit.)

The food was very good, the service was good, but the background noise was awfully annoying. Evidently, their A/C wasn’t working, so there were fans in several places around the restaurant. Most were not too loud, but a large one in the restaurant area was under a counter, which seemed to concentrate the droning NOISE. It was hard to hear the person next to me, and when I left, I realized how tense the noise had made me. I hope they fix the A/C soon.

Cocktails are on the weak side. My wife ordered a strawberry lemon drop, received a standard lemon drop. Notified the waiter who returned the incorrect drink. After waiting for more than 10 minutes, my wife left the table and went to the bar to retrieve her drink. It was sitting on the bar waiting to be picked up.

This is a pretty standard diner food wise. However, the staff is phenomenal, especially the tattooed guy who appears to be the manager. Every one is friendly and deserves a raise.

Stopped by while looking for a nice place to have lunch in the La Cañada area. There were a lot of choices on Foothill Blvd, but Dish caught my eye. Walked in and was immediately seated. There was a separate menu for breakfast and lunch, but I asked for both as I wanted to see my options. Wanted something light so ordered the Farmer’s Market salad and the SoCal Eggs Benedict. Also, ordered the Lava Michelada. Shortly after ordering my food, a local friend recommended I order the Banana pancakes. I didn’t want to change my order at this point, so it’s on the to do list for my next visit.

Great breakfast spot! Johnnycake was amazing! My breakfast came with fruit and I added the strawberries onto the johnnycake for some added freshness and it really made it sing.
