Identity Crisis – Mixed
Woodford Bourbon | Bulleit Rye | Benromach 10 Year Scotch. Are you just getting started with whiskey and want to find out your preference: Bourbon, Rye or Scotch? The main difference is the grain used: corn vs. rye vs. barley. This flight will help you establish your whiskey identity. Cheese & Charcuterie Pairing: Ciccioli or Farmhouse Cheddar
$16.00
Burden Of Proof – Bourbon
Basil Hayden’s (80 proof) | Buffalo Trace (90 proof) | Noah’s Mill (114 proof). Different techniques of distillation can result in different levels of alcohol content. The ‘heat’ is greater with the higher alcohol content bourbons, giving them a more robust flavor. Lighter proof bourbons tend to be smoother and more delicate. Cheese & Charcuterie Pairing: Boar Salami or Vacherousse
$16.00
Ryes To The Occasion – Rye
Templeton Small Batch | Willett Rare Release | High West Double Rye. The subtle difference in the taste of Ryes are based on the percentage rye (80%/92%/98% respectively), the location of the distillery and the distillation process (traditional pot distillation vs. modern distillation that is filtered more). Cheese & Charcuterie Pairing: Rabbit Pate or Ossau-Iraty
$16.00
Age Dilemma – Scotch
Caol lla 10 Yr | Macallan 12 Yr | Linkwood 15 Yr. Aging has a big impact in flavor profile. Younger scotches tend to have more of a strong, firm palate, while older selections get smoother, adding layers of fragrance like cinnamon, clove, and peet. Cheese & Charcuterie Pairing: Rilletes or Cabricharme
$24.00
Hop Scotch – Single Malt Whiskey
Westland American | Nikka Yoichi | Lagavulin 16 Year. It’s not a real scotch unless it’s made in Scotland. Or is it? Well, the Americans and Japanese take exception to that and here’s their response. The water in each country ultimately makes the difference in flavor. See for yourself. Cheese & Charcuterie Pairing: Midnight Moon & Ciccioli
$32.00

High West – Mixed

Was looking for a late-night place to eat at and this was the only one that got decent restaurant food. I really enjoyed the chicken wings and fries, and their dips are to die for. Actually, I think their food is one of the best ones I’ve tried. Great accommodating staff. I really like the ambiance and the rustic feel of the place.

I would rate their drinks, service and atmosphere at the top. Food is not the best but it’s still fairly decent. All in all, it’s always amazing to be here!

The atmosphere is good. The service is good. And the food is really good. I really like it. The only thing is that the food selection is not much.

This is worthy of a return trip! Staff was very polite and responsive. The evening was so beautiful, that we decided dine on the patio. The music made the night fun. We ordered a wine flight to go with our meal which was extremely generous pours. Bonus! The fried avocado could use some spice but was really yummy. My favorite by far was the oysters on a half shell which were fresh. The broccolini salad was everything (must order). I still have dreams about that salad. I would like to come back and try their cocktail menu and would 100% recommend this place to a complete stranger.

If you’re ever in downtown San Jose and looking for a good place to have a meal then you have to check this place out. The atmosphere is open and the restaurant is nicely decorated. They also have a good selection of bar food which is reasonably priced. First we had the ceviche mixto which was very flavorful and fresh. Then came the grilled steak which was nicely cooked and moist. The burger was also done right. Lastly we had the beignets to end the meal. All of the dishes hit the spot!

The food and drinks came really fast and were very good. Not only that, but the staff were all friendly and worked really well together even on a busy Friday. We had a very nice time.

Enjoyed ourselves way too much to remember to take photos. We sat at the bar and the bartender was marvelous. We asked for recommendations but honestly. It’s not needed. Everything we ordered was top notch and out of the box. Bartender also made his own drinks that he think we’d enjoy and they were so good! The ambiance is also lovely. Go here & have a good time!

I came here after work with a large group – we shared a bunch of happy hour appetizers and pizzas. Maybe it was because we had a big table, but getting drinks seemed to take a while.

Our server looked like he was about to breakdown. The hostess was very hostile. I felt like the company was not taking care of their employees. Food was good though. We ordered Beignets, food didn’t arrive.
