The food is amazing and they have a good variety. I usually go for the lunch buffet because it’s inexpensive. I’ve had dinner there a few times as well – Dinner is on the pricey side but the portions are huge. I had left overs for two days. I prefer Diwani over the other two Indian places in Ridgewood which I used to frequent until Diwani opened. The staff (I’m pretty sure they’re the owners as of this writing) are very friendly. The ambiance could be better. Other than that I highly recommend the place. A+ in my book. Delicious!

So good, found it through Google. Absolutely love the fried cauliflower and samosas but, Diwani is much more than that. Service was quick, everything was delicious, hot and fresh…even after a 30 minute car-ride! Can’t wait to go back.

I had a wonderful time when I stopped to dine at the Diwani Indian restaurant with my mom one day. She had wanted to go because she loves Indian food and had wanted to try this place since it was new to us. At first I was as skeptical as they come. Indian food sounded as good as serving me mucus or something else as equally unpleasant. To please my mom I decided to to suck it up and just try it anyways. We ordered a dish called Chicken Tikka Masala. My taste buds didn’t know it then but this is a delicious meal and now my favorite. Basically what it is is diced tandoori chicken tikka in a filling favorful sauce with onion and belpepar. For all you Italians out there the sauce reminded me of a tomato sauce at first. My mother and I at the end of our meal also had a delicious dessert by the name of Gulab Jabun. This is basically an indian donut and it made my mouth sing for joy. I now love Indian food 🙂 not to mention the people who work here actually want to get to know you and care. They are nice and helpful and quick. I didn’t feel rushed either which I love too because sometimes I go out and I feel rushed by other establishments. I would recommend this place to my family and my friends. A friendly environment and a wonderful staff. ♡♡♡♡

Diwani is the best indian restaurant that I have ever been to, and probably one of my favorite restaurants! The service is absolutely amazing; the staff is friendly, respectful, and quick. It is located right on the prestige at mahwah .. We loved to have a great indian music while we eat and they have a buffet in weekend .i didn’t try but I will sure that I’m going to try the buffet thanks to staff of Diwani .. Highly recommended!

The food is greasy, under cooked, uses only dark meat. There were more tendons on my chicken than meat. Honorable. Will never go back. One of the wort Indian foods I’ve ever eaten.

Went for the lunch buffet, staff was so friendly and willing to explain any of the food we had questions on and the food was AMAZING. The warm buttered naan was so great and you can now tell is made in house… Five stars!!

Ordered for delivery. The first time I called and gave my order I mentioned that I would be paying by card. I was told ill be given a call back in a couple of minutes. Wasn’t called back so decided to call after 20 minutes. Gave my card details and on asking for my total was asked my name and order details. I live 2.3 miles away and still was told that a minimum order of 35$ has to be made for delivery. Anyway I called back after an hour to check on my order and was told that it will arrive in 20 minutes. 40 minutes later I get a call and a man says he is outside my residence hall dorm. I do not see him anywhere in my dorm but see a car further outside with a man sitting inside. Hence, I am forced to walk outside in a t-shirt and shorts in 1* F temperature while the man is sitting comfortably in the car with the window half rolled down. He reads the bill and says that he has not brought my lassi. I tell him that I paid for it through my card . I would like for him to get it for me though. He looks at me with a bewildered but calm look while I am freezing in the temperature. He says the place is about to close. I say then what do you want to do he says he could rewire that amount to me. I said ok and took my food by putting my hand through the half rolled window and reaching for it. There were no spoons, fork or any napkins. The food was not bad it was substantial and the reason for me giving a star. I have never received such bad service in my life!

The food was absolutely delicious hot tasty and wonderful.i orderd four dishes for take out lamb vindaloo,saag paneer,chhole and chicken makhani were beast i a have ever had.when i arrived the food was ready to go.i would definitely recommend trying out this spot if you are in the area.
