I’ve returned here because I have felt that the food here is good. It is definitely not the atmosphere that brings you back. Its clean and efficient but not pretty. But you got some decent bbq going on here. The sides are plentiful and the desserts are top notch. I think for those not from the area as well as those looking for a decent BBQ you would be well served to make this stop

A tad bit pricey but I really have to say you get what you pay for. The ribs in the brisket were so delicious and tender! The line was wrapped around the building so we ended up waiting a good 30 to 45 minutes but considering it was 5:30 and everybody had just headed out for dinner you can kind of understand the long wait. It would have been nicer if the few of us that wanted to could have actually went inside to pick up our orders. I know that they’re opening up a new place down the road so I’m sure it will improve once they get to the new location. Overall a great experience and I will definitely be back!

Overall it was pretty good BBQ, the sauce had a hint of tomato flavor which I didn’t really care for that much; the brisket was delicious non the less but the ribs needed some improvement. The sides were fairly basic and they didn’t have mac n cheese. Only seating available was outdoors so it’s miserable when you’re eating and it starts pouring down rain like it did to me

I drove from Senatobia to Batesville to get several baked potatoes. We eat there at least once a month. I order 3 foghorn leghorn (chicken) potatoes w/o bar-b-que and bacon. One add onion/chives.. I was first told that I couldn’t buy extra sour cream because it was for the other customers. Then I got screamed at because I didn’t understand/hear what she had said. Well, we went to the trail park to eat and one of the baked potatoes had burned meat on it. I decided to eat half of one of the other ones because it was fine. I started getting a headache, not knowing at the time it was pork instead of chicken. Well I went back to purchase another one w/chicken and I mentioned about the burned meat and I was told that it look like that because it was cold, but it wasn’t cold. That when I found out that they where pork instead of chicken. My Mama and I have high blood pressure, so therefore we don’t eat NO pork. And my fiancée don’t eat pork either. So, I told them about it was the wrong potatoes and that I had already eaten half of one and I have high blood pressure. I then was told to come in, to not hold up the drive thru line. I proceeded in to only get told that I will have to pay for new potatoes and their will be no refunds and no remakes. I mentioned about losing customers, etc. and the owner could care less. She said that she doesn’t have to listen to this and I left. Very BAD business and she will never get a penny from my family and I ever again.

I am staying at the Hampton Inn down the street and was looking for a good local place to eat at. Dixieland fit the bill and had really good reviews. I was not disappointed. Some have mentioned a wait, but that appears to be because they are plating the food fresh. I loved that as I drove around to the drive thru window I got to go past the smoker and it smelled amazing. I got the combo platter with sausage, pork, beans, and potato salad. The meats were excellent and I preferred the sausage without the provided sauce which they put on the side. The potato salad was great, but the beans had slightly heavy onion flavor. I will make this a regular stop for me when I visit my customer here.

I did not like it very much. The workers were nice but I had to ask again for toppings after I got the food. It was hot and fresh, but lacked a significant amount of flavor on the pork nachos and brisket potatoes. The meat was very bland and the BBQ sauce was very meh. Guys, please know that dehydrated chives and green onions are not the same thing!

Unfortunately, this is the worst experience I’ve had. I was picking lunch up for my brother, mom and myself. They didn’t charge me for the correct items, didn’t get my whole order, and I asked for no barbecue sauce and no pickles on our plates, when I opened our plates everything I asked to NOT be on there was on there. We have always loved going here until now. Just to top it off my brisket plate had a hair in it!!! Definitely not friendly and not helpful. Will not be returning.

Food is good, lady was nice, BUT we were in drive thru for more than 30 minutes. And asked for peppers and didn’t get them. Will be back, but with PLENTY of time to waste. Not for anyone with a short lunch break!!! Might try calling in our order Before we go.
