We were staying at Oak Alley , and asked where to eat dinner. They suggested this place. It has an unassuming decor but delicious food. It’s locally owned. Extensive selection of local cuisine. We had the St. James Crab Dip, Boudin-stuffed Burger, Voodoo Steak, Fresh Green Beans, Roast Potatoes,and Cinnamon Bread Pudding. You should definitely try it if you are in the area.

Went to the Laura Plantation late in the daytime, and as we were heading back to the French Quarter at 5pm we stopped here. They had just opened and the Crab St John appetizer is delicious, had the Roast Beef Poboy, wife had the Shrimp Poboy, also order the Mahi Mahi. All very delicious. Overall very good food with excellent prices.

This visit was a group visit. My steak was not hot when it arrived. It was very dry, had to ask for some gravy-tge chef really didn’t know much about that either. Everyone else said their meals were delicious.

DJ’s never fails to please!! I can’t imagine not ordering the pecan catfish, because it is that delicious! The price is an extraordinary bargain, and the sauce is so amazing, you could literally put it on anything, and it would taste great. The waitstaff is attentive and friendly. Definitely worth the drive to get to DJ’s and if I lived any closer, It would be dangerous to my waistline, because I would go every day.
