We’ve been here before and we came back for the food and experience. Doc Martin’s has a limited menu so that they can focus on providing interesting entrees. We had the Blue Corn Encrusted Trout and Ribeye Fajitas. Also on our table Wes the Doc’s Relleno appetizer. The chilli had a thick red crusted on it. We raced to eat it. The full trout came withe the head and all the scales and fins. Yes, It was all good.

Service: 5/5 stars, our waitress was very prompt with taking our orders, and was always checking in on us.

We made reservations for Christmas Day a few days prior and we’re surprised to find they still had open times. We had a love corner booth. The shrimp appetizer was good, but pretty small and we didn’t realize it was fried.

Nice atmosphere, but for once having a distinguished menu now its a very small menu of mexican food and poor at that. The band was so loud for such a small area and overwhelmed that room. My partner ordered the fajitas and didnt even eat them the meat had too much grisle and was tough. I wish we had not wasted our money and gone somewhere else.

My husband and I stopped here one evening while in Taos. We tried their Chile relleno which was absolutely delicious. I loved the presentation with the pepitas. The outer shell was so good and crunchy. We also had their salsa and chip. The salsa was super spicy but tasty. My husband had a margarita and he said it was the best one he’s had on our trip. Being pregnant, they made me a non-alcoholic margarita using passionfruit I believe and it blew me away. It’s hard to get a good mocktail, but I am still dreaming about this concoction to this day. Service was awesome and we really enjoyed being able to sit outside.

Last year meal here was good. Today, not. Had cheese enchiladas. The cheese was rubbery, the beans hard and undercooked, the blue corn tortillas were so tough I couldn’t cut them. Substandard. But the wine was good, and the new furnishings are nice. All said, there are many, many better places in Taos to eat. Will not be coming back.

Food was good. Overpriced for sure. Atmosphere was pretty cool. Service was horrible. Filled up my own water and saw waiter like twice the whole evening. Took forever to get back with us on any of our needs.

Getting seated went surprisingly quickly considering we had six people total dining together that evening. They had a live band playing which was pretty cool! However they ran into some technical difficulties (which happens) that lead to our food taking longer to get to the table.. Unfortunately, the food was not worth the wait (chicken enchiladas). Super bland and lacked authenticity in my opinion. Not worth the price..

I walked in and told the Hostess we were the for a dinner for 2 under our last name. She asked if we had a reservation. I told her 5pm. She said two for Joseph and for some reason she had a dirty look on her face. My wife ordered the Doc’s Chile Relleno Platter for $32. It was nothing like what she was expecting. She claims the chiles were not Anaheim. I ordered the Smothered Burrito Platter for $24. The ground beef looked and tasted like it had been cooking all day and the whole burrito seemed to be microwaved. Had a hard time cutting it. Everything was bland. We didn’t even finish our food. No one returned after delivering our food to ask how the food was and when the waiter asked to take our plates he didn’t even ask how it was. I think because they already know the food isn’t good. Not worth the $66 bill.
