Overall pretty decent food. The pickle chips and the lobster dip were the best dishes we had. The calabash shrimp was alright, but it was pretty greasy and fell apart. The grilled mac and cheese was yummy as a side as were the hush puppies. Great service and really nice atmosphere!

The food and service is very good at Dock House! We went for a late lunch, and everyone was pleased with their food. I ordered the fish sandwich and chips. Solid choice. My wife said the crab cake was one of the best she tasted. My only critique is that they are not very accessible for special needs. Our daughter is in a chair, and they only had 1 table. The other tables were upstairs and not accessible for a person in a chair. That is disappointing. We had to sit outside. They had plenty of fans, and there was a breeze, so besides the flies, it was fine.

Come hungry! Better yet, come hangry. Portions are amazing! The staff were very friendly and attentive. Started with the lobster dip! They were very generous with the chunks of lobster! I had the grouper tacos and the mango slaw that comes on it was super fresh and perfect balance with the fresh grouper. I of course had to go with the fried plantain side as I had it all of the time as a child! My kiddo had the Mac and cheese burger and he inhaled it! He said the hush puppies were the best he has had in a while. Husband had the calabash shrimp and holy cow at the amount of shrimp he had! I opted out of an adult beverage due to the need to hydrate from choices throughout the day. Husband had a mojito and it was delicious.

First time visiting Holden Beach and decided to try Dock House for dinner. We were seated immediately on the upstairs patio outside and had a great view. Our server was also very good. We ordered Shrimp Tacos, Broiled Shrimp, Blacked Mahi Mahi and a Cheeseburger. Everything was very good and seemed to be fresh. Our only complaint was when the food came out, they brought broiled flounder instead of broiled shrimp due to the server putting it in wrong. Nothing major but we ended up having to wait 10 more minutes for one of our meals.

Such a great place for dinner on the island! We visit for dinner each trip. Seating can be a bit limited due to your party size but you can still order drinks and appetizers from the bar. Our waitress Nedra handled our party of 21 amazingly and didn’t miss a beat!

We had 9 adults and 2 kids in our party. The food was sub-par. Our food was cold. We ordered 2 kids Mac and cheese that was obviously Kraft. It was also cold. One person ordered Buffalo shrimp and the celery was dirty and not washed. GROSS. Its cost $65 for shrimp and 2 kids Mac and cheeses. HOWEVER the waitress was very kind.

Great food but even more fantastic service. Staff went above and beyond so we could be seated outside and enjoy the beautiful sunset our first night in Holden Beach. Had the shrimp and mushroom pasta, delicious, and a great cocktail. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience!!

Had the combination fantail shrimp and flounder tonight which was perfectly cooked, and was absolutely the best seafood I’ve had in a long time. The service was also excellent. The redneck egg rolls were also wonderful as an appetizer. The restaurant also had an impressive view of the sunset.

Our family was in Holden for our vacation and decided to give Dock House Seafood & More a try. We arrived around 5:20 and was told it would be a wait for an inside table but not an outdoor table. We opted for outdoor and was then told by the hostess that it would be a 30 minute wait. A few of us decided to go to the bar to order a drink while we waited. One bartender was working! She was not in a hurry and a few of us ended up just walking back outside without drinks due to the wait and her having no help. When we were seated, we had the best waitress. She definitely took care of us. The food was delicious- highly recommend the fried pickles, redneck egg roll, Caribbean Jerk Pork Chop, and burgers.
