We had a very pleasant experience here. There was no wait for a table. The waffle with blueberries was delicious. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. My sister had the chocolate chip pancakes and freshly squeezed orange juice, which were both very tasty. I actually appreciated the paper cup for my coffee so I could take what I didn’t finish to-go!

Prices are out of control here. They only serve water in plastic water bottles you pay $2 for. There are signs and rules everywhere, “due to cleanliness and safety we only use disposable cups.” I guess Dock Mike’s is the only safe and clean restaurant ever? They still use normal silverware and plates though, so? Our butter and syrup also came in plastic containers with lids… and they tried to upcharge us to “pure maple syrup” for an extra $3.50 each. Paid $15 for pancakes and scrambled eggs, more money than an entire carton and box of pancake mix together would cost. We were also the only ones in there and somehow sat a table with homefry crumbs on it. Service was fine, but we also got the feeling of inconveniencing them – we checked, they didn’t close for a few more hours, so it wasn’t that. I used to like this place. But we left here being baffled.

I wanted this to be better. The wait staff was AMAZING—friendly, attentive, and respectful. The food was depressing. Jersey corn pancakes were lacking, sad canned corn used. The cream chipped beef was salty to the point of being inedible. The bacon egg and cheese omelette was “ meh” at best. Our son ordered a cheeseburger for breakfast. Bonus points for accepting such an order at 8:30 in the morning, but I wish they just declined. It was mediocre at best. Overall the experience was OK. Friendly staff and clean restaurant. Sadly, the over priced, low bar food, and sloppy restrooms, make this place a “ skip” for our next vacation.

It’s a bit pricy compared to other breakfast spots. You get a ton of food and it is delicious!

Food was fair. Cash only and THEIR ATM was out of order. They do not give a glass of water which since we wanted water were forced to pay $2.00/bottle, average size. Grossly overpriced and no option for a la carte without it costing more than it was worth. Disgrace. 1st and last experience at this place. 9 people at table shared this opinion. After I told someone this who frequents SIC, they agreed this is general consensus on this place. Waiter handed me a platter that was very hot with no warning and I almost dropped it. Never again!!!!

Been coming here for 28 years. I know it’s spring, and summer is on the way, when I make my first trip for some delicious banana pancakes!

Food was alright, delicious, and average amount. Service was average. It took a little while for us to get our food, but we were a larger group. My main issue with the service was that our food was staggered coming out, 2 plates every 5 minutes. I was not impressed with the amount of food for the special, chicken and waffles. The chicken and waffles was mediocre at best, especially as being advertised as a special. It consisted of 2 chicken strips with a Waffle House type waffles, not worth the 16 dollars. My son even found picnic ants crawling on the syrup that was brought with his food. The waitress quickly brought a different syrup, but nothing else was done. Even though the food was delicious, we will probably not be back, as there are other places to try.

The prices for average food is outrageous. There is no option for tap water, only bottled water for $2. I have never been to a sit down restaurant that does not serve water in a glass, especially a for breakfast. Coffee for $3.50 with no refills. I think that their business model must be to price gauge everyone their first time there as I cannot imagine that they get any repeat customers.

WARNING! Outrageously expensive!!! Two people, 2 orders of pancakes, 1 side of meat, 2 coffees, only serves bottled water ($2 per bottle), for just an average breakfast, $60!!. I don’t understand why you serve drinks in plastic and paper cups, (sign says for sanitary reasons), what about the glass dishes and silverware then, does the dishwasher (machine) washing the dishes not do glasses??? So much waste with all the plastic bottles of water. Also, don’t forget your cash, because they are cash only.
