Passed this restaurant many times so I finally decided to have dinner on a Sunday. Wait time was around 10 minutes. Then we were seated and placed our order. Server forgot about our appetizers and brought our dinner first. No biggie. Appetizers came next. Fish Tacos looked great but the taste lacked seasonings. The Cod fish was fried golden but needed some flavor. The Crab dip with spinach appetizer was bland as well. Nice presentation. French Fries and hush puppies were crispy and tasty. Overall I’ll give the meals a combined 5/10. Dessert was the highlight of the experience. Lemon Berry cake was delicious. Definitely give it a 10/10. I might give this place one more shot just because of the cake.

My first time here. We had the she crab soup, delicious and full of crabmeat. Followed with a broiled crab cake cooked to perfection and hush puppies also very good. We topped lunch off with the best house made Key Lime Pie I have ever tasted! Our servers were very prompt and so friendly. Wonderful lunch!

My wife and I had the Mahi Tacos with Fries, hush puppies and a Salad. It was Excellent! The tacos were prepared perfectly as was the hush puppies. The salad was fresh and the service was was on par. The restaurant presented well. Well done Dock of the Bay!

Our party of three arrived for lunch in the afternoon on a Friday and there was no wait. Since it wasn’t very crowded, it was also relatively quiet. We were greeted upon arrival, seated quickly and our orders taken efficiently and accurately. The food was hot and delicious. Two had fried crab cake sandwiches and the third had fried oysters. All had fries and cole slaw. The fries were seasoned well, thin and crispy. The crab cakes were crispy on the outside, tender and moist inside and large chunks of crabmeat easily visible. The meals were good and I would not hesitate to return … soon.

Ordered crab cake meal and the crab cakes were delicious and house salad but the roasted potatoes had no seasoning so I will not order them anymore! My waiter was excellent very professional and nice! I just can’t remember his name but had great customer service skills! Will be back again! My mom enjoyed her Oyster dinner and she said the bread pudding was delicious too!

I always wanted to try this restaurant. Now that I have…its not worth the money. The she crad soup was delicious, the burger and fries were nothing special, and the crab dip needed a lot of work. It’s not worth the money. The sliders for the babies were dry. The worst part, they charged me 2.50 for their drinks!! The wait staff was definitely not good, wasn’t worth the 20% gratuity. Will not recommend and will not eat here again.

Looking for a nice seafood restaurant, away from the city crowds? Might I recommend Dock of the Bay ll? It’s not even a country mile away. Just over the James River Bridge. I truly have enjoyed each dinning experience. Family friendly environment. Professional and kind staff. This place makes for a very nice date night spot. On the table-grilled salmon & asparagus, with a delicious pineapple garlic butter sauce. Crab cake bites. A crab cake sandwich and fries . Enjoy and let me know what you think. My next stop???? Service and atmosphere were pleasant. Wife and I had a steak Filet along with the broiled seafood platter between us. Food was cooked properly, but it all was characterized by a notable lack of seasoning on anything. Bloody mary did not come with a beer chaser, which felt a little odd (maybe it’s normal around here, we’re from Wisconsin)
