Doc’s Porchside is an homage to the founding member of the Scholer family, Doc Scholer. Porchside symbolizes the place in southern homes where family and friends gather: the front or back porch. The porch is where friends and family drink, eat, listen to music and tell stories better than they were told the last time. We pass our family history down to the next generation on the porch. We watch football, share meals, share a drink with those we love on the porch. The people who know us best don’t come to the front door. They walk through the gate and come to the porch, because they know that’s where we’ll be. We greet each other with hugs and hard slaps on the back, tossing a beer from the cooler and telling friends to pull up a chair.

Great atmosphere. Restaurant was big and clean, had live music. Service was great. Food was AMAZING! Hubby and I had burgers and sweet potatoe waffle fries; our son had chicken tenders and curly fries. Also had a house salad and eggrolls. Everything was seasoned well and tasted GREAT!

Saw the restaurant online and decided to stop in for lunch. The atmosphere was very inviting and the staff were super friendly. We were seated outside and although it was hot there were several fans which made it very comfortable. Our server WESLEY was so sweet. He was very helpful with food recommendations and was super patient with our crazy orders. He was very nice to us and checked on us very often. I thoroughly enjoyed the oysters and friend Green tomatoes. I would highly recommend dining here if you are ever in the area. I look forward to stopping by on my next trip to Augusta.

Quick meet before the storm. Crawdads were good but just way to loud to enjoy our company. We asked for them to turn it down abit was ignored. No one could hear each other outside. Dog friendly and excellent atmosphere outside. Never received refills on my tea but alcohol was refilled rapidly every time.

I was staying in a hotel close by and this place was walking distance. Service at the bar was great. Everyone was friendly and attentive. I came two nights in a row. Trivia on Thursday was fun.

One of our favorite places to stop and eat after cycling. The eggrolls and fried green tomatoes are our favorite appetizers. The smokes wings are also delicious and we love the variety of sauces available. We have never gotten bad service here, in fact, the wait staff is always cheerful, personable and efficient!

Came here for dinner with my fiance. Loved that there was no wait and a super friendly atmosphere. A live band also came to play and I had the raw oysters which were amazing and a traditional burger. Barbecue chicken nachos were so good, but i would get the barbeque sauce on the side halfway through it drowned the food. I wish they had baked potato on the menu because I didn’t love the fries but everything was good. Will definitely be back for more!
