Best fried shrimp I’ve ever had! They claim to have the best and they absolutely do! Crab cakes are amazing as well. We were too excited to take pictures right when we got our food so the plates are partially eaten! The grilled shrimp is cooked perfectly and the hush puppies are delicious. The fries have a really good seasoning and crispy texture. We had to wait for about an hour for a table because they were busy but it was well worth it. This was our first time in Alabama and we will definitely come back to Docs next time!

Friday night family seafood dinner! Wow did this place know how to handle the masses. We ordered our kids meals first and it was on the table within 5 mins, probably ready in 3 actually. Great food. Our server, Richard was great there when we needed him but gave us space too. Drinks always full. Nice spot with live music outside on the weekends it seems.

Last year Docs was our favorite place… this year was not enjoyable. $30 for a plate of rubbery fish, an overcooked potato and tasteless shrimp. The server did try to make it right and brought fresh fish blaming it on shift change.

Okay I didn’t get a chance to take pictures of all of the food, but let me tell ya, the food here is awesome. The firecracker shrimp and the seafood platter was DELICIOUS. Our server Drew was awesome too. Kept checking on us, bringing us beer, but damn the seafood was great!!!! Check this place out!!!!!

It’s ok. We were hoping that Doc’s Steak was a little higher end than the regular Doc’s, but apparently they’re the same. The building is a lot nicer, but that’s not very important in the overall experience.

The fried seafood was amazing! Their fried shrimp is really that good! The gumbo had that perfect taste you would expect from really good gumbo. I would definitely recommend the gumbo!

The main dish and the Seafood Gumbo were delicious. However, the sides were somewhat lacking for the price we paid. The The hold slaw was served in a small dressing container and was very sweet with somewhat chemical taste. The Mac and Cheese was lacking. It tasted like box cheese with macaroni. The fries were good. My wife’s potatoes was good but the waiter forgot sour cream and butter. She said her salad did not have enough dressing. The Waiter was kind of dry but did a decent job. Looks as if he was serving double duty, working behind the bar and two tables. One with a large party. The host originally sat us in a corner seat near the kitchen supplies. We ask to move and he politely did so. My over all experience was. Good main dish, bad sides, so so service and a fairly hefty bill including tip. Place was seeing a lot of traffic.

Wanted to love this place, atmosphere was great and live music, awesome patio, but… service wasn’t good at all. 3 people at the greeting station were rude and all around unpleasant. Waiter wasn’t personable at all, appetizers showed up after main course. Food was okay fish was a little over cooked and felt rushed out as we were thrown our check without being asked if we wanted anything else

Six of us went this evening. Oysters on the half shell. So fresh and delicious. My guy had the seafood platter, and I had the crab cakes with fried shrimp. Everything was served so hot and delicious!
