So if you’ve seen this cute little Italian restaurant on Central street, what you might not know is they have an amazing breakfast offering. Nothing beats sitting in the cool morning having coffee watching the world go by. Food was delicious, service was delightful and ambience? Well, my first trip to Rome and my first meal was at a cafe on a side street that looked exactly like where I am sitting right now outside at Dolce. I recommend you and a friend find yourself on this quiet little stretch across from Lake Eola.

The staff was kind and helpful – a bit distracted but nothing terrible. The food however… not good at all. The honorable mention is the chocolate chip pancakes but the sausage is unflavored and truly looks like it came out of the back end of an animal so it was immediately unappetizing.

We were truly looking forward to a scrumptious breakfast and dessert after but we were disheartened by what we were served. Blah French Toast. Cold, hard, tasteless. Small amount of syrup given. Requested a little more and then got too much. Plus it was also cold. Cinnamon rolls were pretty and warm but also a disappointment. We initially held the menu in hopes of ordering desert after breakfast. After being disappointed so far we didn’t want to take the chance and waste any more food and time. Waitress forgot what I ordered as a drink. I just decided on water instead and receive water that tasted like chlorine. No offer of bottle water. While waiting, we observed a homeless person try to take some left overs off of another exterior table. He looked it over and left some of it behind. We should have taken that as a sign especially when whole pancakes and lots of food were left behind by the previous guests as well. We won’t be returning.

Below average. In a great location, but is lacking in many areas. The inside is has no decor, looks sad, and smells weird. Cappuccino was cold and bitter. Sausage looks like dog poop with no seasoning. Crepes were cold and had a red cap in it. Service was okay. Would not recommend it.

If you are looking for a place to host a small gathering then this is the perfect space. I recently hosted a baby shower there and the turn out was amazing! The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. They even help set up decorations for the baby shower. The food and the dessert was really good. The place was very intimate, so we were able to play a few games, take pictures and open gifts. I would definitely come here again!

I am very open to new places, but not good at all. The Avocado Toast, asked why it isn’t toasted. Was told yes it is. A breakfast bowl of a scrambled egg and some nasty looking salmon. Wow. Not coming back.

I was tasked with planning my mom’s surprise birthday breakfast for a group of 20. I was freaking out because the place we chose prior to Dolce had cancelled on us at the last minute. I called up Dolce and was immediately impressed by the customer service. Janine answered my 1,000 questions patiently, reassured me, and even called me back to reconfirm things.
