This place is a shocker. I would not have expected great food and I definitely got it. If you are visiting HSV you must come to eat here. Waiters were friendly and food was phenomenal. Only recommendation I would have is- bring HOT bread out. That would make it extremely phenomenal meal. Owner walked around spoke to folks. It was a pleasure get great food not having to drive 35-45 minutes one way

We’ve lived right around the corner for about a year and just tried this place tonight. I generally don’t like to visit Italian restaurants because the food is nothing special and the same at most of them. Dolce Vita is definitely the exception. We loved it! Excellent food, friendly service. We will definitely be back.

The food, service and atmosphere is incredible. I love this place. Brono (the owner) visits our table everytime we go in to welcome us and to make sure everything is perfect.

Our grandparents invited us to a lovely dinner here and it was splendid. I ordered the Gnocchi AL Pesto. The flavors and texture were wonderful. I added spinach and sausage to the dish, and it complimented the dish nicely. We ended the night with four cannolis, and they are a must when coming to Dolce Vita. I did not get a chance to take pictures there, but I took a few at home.

This place is phenomenal. The food was fresh and super delicious, and the service was fast and wait staff was very friendly. The owner even came out and spoke to the customers. We traveled from AL for a family vacation and wanted to try as much local food as we could and this did NOT disappoint. If you’re ever in the HSV area you have GOT to give them a visit.

Really good food! The waitress brought me special garlic bread with no dairy! The arabiatta was very good but not spicy at all. Everyone was nice and the music was very classic.

Such a nice place to go in The Village. The food was not over seasoned, the alfredo was so creamy, and they seem to have a lot of staff. We were thankful we made reservations because it was pretty busy. Support a local family business and make this a regular stop instead of cooking (yes, we met one of the owners which is always nice).

Came here with my family. Calamari was decent. Bread, too. Three of us got marsala and none of us were impressed…or even thought it actually presented as true marsala. Gluten-free pasta was $5 extra which is absurd. Our server was good, but there was a disconnect between him and the bar staff, so the whiskey I ordered (which they absolutely had) was seemingly unavailable that night. I’d like to say I won’t be back, but they’re practically the only Italian game in town.

Just had a terrible $90 meal for 2. Osso Bucco was barely edible with only 2 or 3 bites able to be scraped off the bone vs falling off the bone the way it should be cooked.

I highly recommend this place. The food and service was excellent. We went in early yesterday afternoon and I was very happy to see the place filling up as we departed.
