We ordered some food for pick up on our way home. The staff were super friendly and food is great! They are really good at what they do. What surprises us the most was that they even gave us additional 3 small sample dishes with a lovely notes!Our experience is beyond amazing! Will be back 🙂

Honestly, I have tried other sushi places around California and Jersey foremost but honestly, the taste of doomadachi will forever have a place in my heart. The amazing people behind the art of sushi and it’s always contents my hungry heart. I miss this place so much because there is nothing like home. Next time I visit New Jersey, I will stop by again and visit my sushi home. Love this place and so are you. Trust me.

Everything that we orderes was honestly…absolutely delicious!!! I definitely feel like all the positive reviews, 4 and 5 stars are spot on. The food was delicious. The portion sizes are great. They even had beginner level chopsticks for the kiddos. The hostess was super sweet and the customer service was impeccable. This was our 1st time here and absolutely plan to visit again.

Affordable and delicious. The restaurant is cozy. They gave us a free appetizer which was a nice touch. The presentation is beautiful as well. I’m not from the area, but there seem to be a lot of locals who came in frequently for take out and seems staff seem to be familiar with all of them. Good vibe overall

This is probably the best sushi I’ve ever had in NJ, hands down up there with the best of NYC. New Yorkers might call it a diamond in the rough as it’s a gem out in Jersey (a place they would preferably avoid). For me, that’s what makes this place unique. It’s small and underrated because it’s close to the bigger, fancier restaurants in Manhattan, the atmosphere is cozy like you’re at home but the food is fresh, delicious and beautifully plated like it’s Michelin rated. The owners attend to you like they probably would guests in their own home. We loved the beef negimaki and tuna tataki for starters. The chirashi looked amazing but we didn’t order it, we went with several 6-piece rolls instead. The portions were ample; each roll piece was larger than what we’re used to ordering. Again, the staff is very friendly. We will definitely be making this place our regular sushi spot. Also, the staff confirms it is BYOB .

Among some of the best I’ve had! Really enjoyed the atmosphere and the staff were really kind and accomodating. We did have to wait quite a bit for our sushi but it was well worth it. I would recommend coming slightly hungry, instead of very hungry.
