How on earth could this place ever possibly be less than five stars? Seriously, from the first time my wife and family ever came in to this establishment It’s been nothing but amazing. The staff is so friendly, they are personable and literally make you feel like family. Their food is off the chain in every way! There’s never going to be a place that can top the experiences, food, atmosphere, and service that we have all experienced here. I’ve waited a long time to leave a review because I don’t want to drop a review after a first time experience. I’ve been here at least 40 times and it’s always nothing but exceptional. I want to give a major shout out to Sonia, Hector, Sergio, Sam, Froy, and Nahun! And everyone else I may have missed. But you are family and provide such an amazing experience every time.

Amazing. Ask for “Samuel’s salsa verde” if you actually enjoy Mexican salsa. It’s supposedly going to be on the menu soon. Everything is incredible from the food to the margarita drinks.. their queso is white and delicious! As a person originally from West Texas I can’t recommend this place more for your Mexican food needs! Ask Hector the bartender to make your drinks!

We couldn’t get our waitress to stop at our table. I wanted guacamole and I needed more water. But neither happened, because she never came back to our table after dropping our food off. And my “pizza mexicano” was just a quesadillo

We have been a loyal patron at this location for several years–we actually considered this to be one of our favorite restaurants in Knoxville. That being said, the last few times we have eaten here, the food has been very low quality, terrible, & tasteless. This is extremely disappointing considering the quality of food we had become accustomed to here. I am not sure if there have been management/ownership changes recently, but it’s just not the same Don Gallo. So disappointing!

Don Gallo? More like Don Gal-I’m all aLOne still. It says clearly on your sign “LOVE, tacos, and margaritas” and yet when I came in to order 3 loves and an enchilada to go; all you gave me was the enchilada, which was great btw. 5 out of 5 stars, but y’all still need to figure out how to package up the love as now I’m all lonely sitting here at home and the enchilada only lasted for 27 seconds

The avocado salsa was made with very fresh ingredients. The carnitas enchiladas with Verde sauce was outstanding. The carnitas was flavorful and crispy! Beans were flavorful. Chili Colorado with beef was also very good. Will definitely go back.
