Initially started in the small pueblo of San Jose Jalisco, Mexico, our father Jose taught us how to communicate and serve others. He had a convenience store and on weekends sold carnita tacos, tostadas, pozole, menudo, as well as other traditional Mexican dishes. The restaurant was a way to commemorate our father and all that he taught us which is why we all decided to name our greatest success after him, Don Jose. We opened our first restaurant here in the United States in East Hanover, New Jersey in 1998. Two years later we opened our second location in Sebring, Florida. Our third location opened in 2011 in Netcong, New Jersey. Ever since we arrived in the early 1980’s, we have been working hard to prepare and serve quality Mexican food.

Went here for dinner last night,it’s a bring your own and were very pleased. There was a long wait to be seated but it was well worth it. I had the special, a birria quesadilla. It was great but the menu said cheese and it had no cheese on it. Also said it came with a bowl of consume, and I didn’t get the consume. No big deal was still excellent. Service was great even with the place packed wall to wall. My constituents had a chimichanga meal and chicken enchilada meal, both very good. The queso fundido was excellent with big chunks of chorizo. Tres Leche and churros for desert were excellent! We will be back here again.

Delicious food, generous portions, friendy staff, reasonable prices, and colorful decorations. Got Steak Fajita, chicken tostadas, and a bunelo dessert. All was yummy but the dessert was a bit lack luster for the price. Overall, would recommend and would go back.

Yummy and authentic Mexican cuisine in a brightly decorated dining space. Prices are in line with other restaurants in the area. Service is generally fast and friendly with no frills. This place always seems to be busy so be prepared to wait if you come at a peak time. Minus 1 star for advertising a 10% discount on Verizon rewards and then not honoring it.

Great service! Only problem was advertising birria quesadillas, they said birria quesadillas like u see all over the internet, however it was a regular quesadilla and they just slapped shredded steak and some birria juice on the side and called it a day. The quesadilla was also only crispy on one side. Opposite side was like they didn’t even flip the quesadilla over on the stove top.
