I was brought here by my wife earlier to check out the Mexican grocery store. The store has tons of ethnic food I’ve never seen and some brands but they all have Mexican pictures on it. Very cool. I want to buy the sombrero and poncho there someday!

Place is like any other Mexican Store. We bought Tamales and Pasties. Most things did not have a price or were expired. The bread was good as well as the tamales. I could recommend it but I was craving the bread so it was yummy. The tamales are cooked on Thursdays, and they try to sell them on the weekend so if you want fresh buy them on Thursday. They have chicken with green sauce, pork with red sauce, and veggies.

Best Tacos in the area and burritos the size of your head. I have been eating at this place for years, since long before they moved to this location. Everything is authentic and delicious and at these prices, I don’t know why you would eat fast food “tacos”. If you like a good fire make sure you ask for the mango hot sauce, but be warned, it’s not for the faint of heart. Also this is a grocery store with a wide selection of stuff you can’t find elsewhere. Edit after reading the one star review about the trash, look at the time stamp of the review. It was during derecho cleanup. Their entire old building was destroyed and there was a apartment building next door in ruins. So ya, there was some trash at the time, it’s clean now. Please think before you review.

Terrible service. The cashier with short hair was extremely rude to my father who was visiting from out of town. So rude that my father stated he would’ve rather purchased from his hometown store instead of spending over $100 to a store who is not grateful and treats their customers like trash. As a business owner myself, it doesn’t take much to implement people skills and simply have good manners towards customers. I would not recommend and I, myself am never going back again. I would rather drive 30 minutes to Iowa City than be treated like that again. If I could give this store zero stars I would.

Nice Mexican store and restaurant combo. Great selection of Mexican candies, sweet breads, and other food items. We bought a Pinata for a party. Food smelled great, but didn’t eat, this visit. We will be back soon.
