First time eating here and hands down, this is my new favorite Mexican restaurant. Our experience was outstanding. Such an extensive menu I had a hard time deciding what to order. The drink menu was just as extensive and had a lot of great choices as well. The Mexican trash can will have you more than tipsy. Even the waiter gives you a warning and cautions you when ordering. The coctel de camaron was delicious. The tomato base is quite flavorful. The chorizo taco was tasty and not too spicy. The chorizo was fried with a slight crisp just how I like it The fish tacos were amazing. I do not typically order fish tacos but I am so glad I did. The grilled tilapia was cooked perfectly and the chipotle dressing was the perfect finish to the tacos. The white rice was the best rice I’ve had from any Mexican restaurant in this area. Texture and seasoning was on point. Restaurant has plenty of seating. It was not understaffed. Fast and Attentive service from our waiter. Best of all, great prices compared to other Mexican restaurants. Portions are huge. The Ambiance is your typical Spanish decor, darker lighting. I can’t wait to come back.

My best friend and I were looking for a new place to try. So, when we walked in it was clean and smelled great. The menu was fabulous and the server explained the menu so well. (Side note, the best salsa I’ve had in VA) I ordered fajita nachos and she ordered Pollo Jalisco, both delicious. I can’t wait to go with our friends and hit the bar!! This is our new go to spot.

I found this great spot while on a trip to Chester. I asked to sit outside & was accommodated immediately nor did I feel neglected (as sometimes you may be when sitting outside). My food was piping hot. I had the vegetarian taco bowl with a side of black beans & the waiter asked if I wanted the beans in the bowl & that was perfect. I asked for house hot sauce & it was one of the BEST house made hot sauces I have had. Spicy but flavorful. Highly recommend, the staff were very friendly.

This place has pretty good Mexican food. We got takeout for my birthday. Other than the food not being hot for obvious reasons, it was tasty. I got enchiladas verse. I liked the chips and salsa. The guacamole was a bit limey. I didn’t care for the white salsa. Tasted like ranch to me. Would eat there again.

We ate at the Don Papa Grande in Chester village of Rte 10. We set in the bar area and a high top table but the seat was really comfortable because it’s oversized and has a nice supportive back. I had the Pollo Azteca which was very delicious. One Thin sliced chicken breadt with squash, peppers, onions on tip. I did not get the mushrooms. It was very tasty and filling.My sister had the chicken chimichangas and a mango margarita. Food was delicious we were definitely coming again. Next time I’m going to get the La Mula which is a Moscow mule but made with a tequila in a cute claypot.

This place was always my go to for Mexican..last week I Ordered takeout the cheese was cold with a plastic type texture the rice was hard and overcooked.I had diarrhea for a entire day. My stomach hurt like heck that entire night .They have completely lost my business.I usually order takeout every Friday from them but it’s been a month since my last order.I will not be going back here ever

Don Papa Grande is just another cookie cutter Mexican restaurant. We were seated quickly but it took a while for the waiter/waitress duo to take drink orders. Chips were brought promptly and both salsas (red and white) tasted good. Once drink orders were taken we had to wait for food orders to be taken… This took a good 10/15 minutes but they were busy so we gave them a free pass.
