My friend and I had lunch at Don Rigo’s today. The restaurant is BEAUTIFUL. I can now see why it took so long to open. The service was great as well were the drinks (peach margarita and natural pineapple margarita pictured). The food was good. The table salsa needs something in my opinion. Lime, salt, pepper, something. The chips were delicious. I got the burrito la roqueta. The pork was tender and the tomatillo sauce was good. My friend got the #12, I think. She said ever tasted amazing. I will be going back.

The inside its self is very nice. Since it’s new everything is very clean. Service was not horrible, but it wasn’t good either. The server sat us didn’t say anything and walked away. That’s how every interaction was. Now the food was very bland and pretty expensive for what you got. Everything were cook nice. It just didn’t have a whole lot of flavor. Due to the service, price, and taste I won’t be going back. The inside is nice to look at though.

I’m a snob with Mexican restaurants. Living in CA for so long I got spoiled with amazing traditional Mexican food. Plus my wife is Latina so her and her family throw down. regarding Don Rigo. It’s has a really nice atmosphere. It should as it’s brand new. Went on around 9pm on Friday night. Not busy was seated right away. My wife wasn’t really hungry so she just had the bean and cheese deep which was pretty good and a house 32 oz margarita. Margarita was weak. Very weak. I had the carne asada Toluca which is pictured. The flank steak was pretty fatty. Rice and beans were a staple. I asked for guac on side but they didn’t listen but whatever. Son has carne asada street tacos also pictures with flour vs corn. He doesn’t like the onions and cilantro so tacos looked pretty bare. Decently cooked though and pretty flavorful considering.

Overall the experience was okay. We were sat in about 10 minutes, and promptly received chips and salsa. It took one hour and 10 minutes to receive our food. The food is typical chain restaurant Mexican food. It’s a good replacement if you were a fan of the former El Camino Real in Noblesville, except this place is well lit, and you can still smell the new construction. If you are in the mood for typical tex-mex style, non specific Mexican region, heat lamp food served with decent canned tomato salsa, and non salted corn chips and margaritas then this is your place!

New Mexican restaurant to the area. Food was excellent, service a little slow (and they weren’t busy), atmosphere more upscale, excellent patio space, food prices higher than other Mexican restaurants in the area, but servings are big. Everyone in our large group LOVED what they ordered.
