Being vegan, Mexican restaurants are typically easy to go to with friends and family and customize. I had veggie fajitas & the vegetables were amazing! I even took them home to reheat. It was easy to ask that dairy be removed and accommodated.

This was the second time we’ve eaten here, and I’m not sure why we haven’t tried it again sooner. Everything we ordered tasted really good. I ordered cheese enchiladas, and this is one of the only Mexican restaurants in the area that uses a cheese blend that actually has some stretch to it which I prefer. They were doing two for one margaritas since it was a Thursday, and those were also very good. We will definitely be choosing this restaurant again when we want some good Mexican food.

Don Tomas has gotta be the most affordable Mexican food you can find in Monroe and on top of that the food is great and they provide great portions. The service is always fast and employees very responsive and respectful. Amazing restraunt. Our favorite meals are the happy face or grilled shrimp taco salad.

We do Chimichangas and this was 1st visit. Wife’s shrimp Chimichanga was excellent, lots of plump smoke grilled SMOKED flavored shrimp, nicely fried crust and same for my ground beef, finely ground/seasoned beef to perfection. The real secret are their chips and salsa. Chips are light and fluffy not greasy. We were happy campers. Service could use some help but pleasant workers. They are short handed like all restaurants since the pandemic and have signs needing workers. Please tip nicely for this place to flourish.

I have passed this place over 1000,00 times but never once thought to stop by. However I mentioned to a friend, I wanted to eat some good Mexican food. My friend replied, ” Don Tomas Mexican Grill is the place to go.” So I ordered 2 carry out meals. Believe me I wasn’t disappointed. Everything was super good. Worth every penny I paid. ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐!!

Good food, good value for the price. Our server, Ronnie, didn’t write my order down and got it wrong. I ate it anyway. He also seemed like he was in the weeds the entire time and didn’t know how to budget his time. He talked trash about the busboy, too, which made me uncomfortable.
