The food here was really good and authentic. They have many Mexican options, including all day breakfast. I particularly enjoyed the tortillas which seem to be made on site, and the barbacoa. My only complaint is that our server kind of gave up on us halfway through our stay; I’m not sure of the reasoning. Likely to come again.

You want authentic? This is the place. Aguas frescas, homemade tortillas, Pozole, Puerto cascabel…can’t wait to go back. First had a sample of their food at Segundo Lab inside of Ironworks. Food was so good I asked where they got it from and he said Doña Chelas on 76th.

Nice, Mom & Pop vibe nestled in this East End community. I had an appointment in the area and asked one of the locals where I could go for authentic tacos or good lunch. Without hesitation he suggested Dona Chela… It was everything I hoped it would be. Quaint, Quick & Homemade!! Glad I speak spanish porque la senora no habla ingles pero no problema. If I’m on this side of town again I will definitely be back to try the fajitas y tamales.

The food is great super delicious, just don’t expect to get good service. One of Two Waitress has an attitude the entire time she is taking care of you. The other one is ok but takes long to come over to take your order.
