Great food, good service, simple interior. Enchilades verdes were the best I’ve had in a while. Quesadillas are a step above the rest. Prices are reasonable. This may become our go-to Mexican restaurant.

I stopped in for lunch last weekend after running some mid-day errands. It’s a very modest restaurant, but I was very impressed with the quality of my meal, from the salsa with my chips as the appetizer to my enchilada plate to the watermelon cooler (I can’t recall exactly what it was called). Coming from AZ, I haven’t been impressed with the quality of Mexican food in the bay area in general, but this is an exception. It was very good imo, and a good value. The staff was also friendly. It was a nice surprise on my Saturday, and I’ll come here again if I’m nearby.

I hate having to write this, definitely miss the previous owners. I placed a phone order and got to the place 10 minutes after. Ordered a menudo, it was basically room temperature and a carne asada torta, it was the smallest steak portion I’ve gotten compared to any other place here in the city. I am very heartbroken

Got a carnitas burrito that was burnt to a crisp. The meat was unchewable, it was SO rock hard, and made the whole thing taste like burnt gravy even tho I tried picking it out.

I was physically attacked in the evening and needed EMS. My clothes were even ripped from barely escaping this homeless mans violent clutches.i was scared and the only place that was open and close by was this Dona Mago place. It was a half a block away from where I was attacked. When I walked into Dona Mago and asked if they could call for me they looked at me, told me “No” and told me to leave. I was shocked at the humanity of it all. The only way I managed to get help was a customer called for me. Thank you Dona Magos !

Small eatery and small tables/chairs, but the food was great. I ordered a carnitas burrito and a single taco. Some of the meat in burrito was pretty fatty which I had to put aside. Prices did raise, as the burrito costed 11$ and the taco 4$. Overall a good place for some quick food. Was only place in the lower price range that looked good nearby at the time. Another Mexican eatery across the street costed nearly triple in price on their food.
