Very friendly; incredible taco salad and very good guacamole. The Mole Pablano (pictured) is not well described in English on the menu, but is a mole sauce over 2 pieces of bone-in chicken, and was quite flavorful. Be aware they do now automatically add a small “service charge” to the bill, seemingly not mentioned in the menu.

We stopped in for lunch based on the high Google maps ratings. It’s a small place with under 10 tables but also outside seating. The food was great. Tacos come in homemade soft corn tortillas which are doubled so the bottom doesn’t split when you fold them. I had the ground beef and a chicken with chipolte seasoning taco. Both were well filled and tasted great. My wife had a burrito and loved it. The owner was present and talking with everyone to make sure everything was well received. Most people that came in while we were there were known by the owner. Prices were very reasonable.

I’m writing this on my third visit in two weeks. I can’t get enough of this delicious food. It always reminds me of mom’s cooking where every sauce is made with care. The margaritas? To die for. The staff? Delivers excellent service every time. I recommend dining in and eating the food fresh.

Fantastic little shop. They open at 10 which is great, when you start at 6am. The food is super fresh, made to order and piping hot.

More like 3.5 stars, just not a option. Good service and clean place. Tried to sample the most menu I could at one sitting. The fresh house fried tortilla chips and salsa were both really good. For my dinner I ordered 3 tacos: steak, ground beef and al pastor, which were a bit small on the fillings and were “ok”, for some reason the flavor just didn’t “pop”! I also tried the chicken milianasa cemita, again no real pronounced flavors from what I’ve experienced with other places doing this usually very tasty sandwich. There’s really nothing bad about this place, I just wasn’t that impressed.

So good. Delicious Michelada, delicious horchata, delicious chips and salsa, delicious flautas, just super delicious all around! We were allowed to have our dog outside, and service was good. We will definitely be back!

Tasty food on our first visit! Service was friendly and other guests were also enjoying speaking with the owner (or relative of owner). Never had an árabe taco before – pork based. So tender and sauce was delicious. Love the home-cooked Mexican food feel! We’ll definitely be back.

I was taking some out of town guests to nearby Fort Sheridan for a walk by the lake. Post walk, we went to Doña Paty’s for some lunch. Ever since I can not stop thinking about the molè… truly the best I’ve ever had! All four of us loved our food, including enchiladas, tacos, and fajitas. I am looking forward to returning and again sitting outside. I highly recommend this restaurant and everything about it!
