Black Reviewer: Tried this place out for dinner and food was very good! Got the buffalo chicken nachos, wings and wedge salad with steak. The nachos was BUSSIN!! The wings were cooked perfectly..crispy outside and juicy inside and also perfect size. The wedge salad was good and steak was good. Steak was seasoned well! Plus service was very good. Our waiter was very attentive and handled a busy pub like a pro!

Discovering Duo
What a pleasant surprise this meal was for us! We were looking for something to eat over St. Patrick’s Day weekend and this was the perfect find. The chicken and waffles were some of the best I’ve ever had. The Mac n cheese is also extremely tasty. Shepherd’s pie was a little different than the traditional crusted dish, but still had good flavor. The blueberry cobbler was also a nice dessert option. The restaurant itself has good bar vibes with plenty of TVs as well as outdoor seating. Overall, a wonderful experience here with both the food, ambiance, and staff. The brunch on the weekends is supposed to be great too, so excited to come back to try that and more off the menu. Definitely give this place a try when in the area!

Thumbs up all the way. Not sure on timing but apps were half price when we went. Mini boxties were great. Pretzel bites were so good. Bangers and mash was a hit. And good sweet tea. Erin was super. Definitely going back.

Had date night here…atmosphere was great! Dog friendly patio! Green beans and mashed potatoes were amazing! The fried mushrooms had zero flavor. The cook swapped one of the two small steaks between each plate…each plate had a medium and a medium well steak. One plate was supposed to be medium rare. And one of the sides was wrong, the cabbage we didn’t order was way overcooked and mushy. I would say this would be an ok place for a drink before dinner or to hang with friends.

Everything we had was simply amazing. I don’t want to know how bad for us the Buffalo chicken dip was because I couldn’t stop eating it… The chicken had amazing flavor and the massive hash browns with cheese boxtie was delicious.

We made a reservation for a party of 10 on a Friday night at 7:45pm. When we arrived my neighbor went in first and wasn’t too happy about how she was greeted. When I walked in the door it seemed like we were getting a bunch of odd looks while they put two tables together for our large group. I wasn’t too happy with how the hostess looked at us while she was putting the tables together, seemed like she had a look on her face like she didn’t want us there. Then when we were about to sit down the other hostess asked us “if we had been here before?” One of my neighbors had come there and the comment didn’t sit well with the rest of us. As my group sat down we began to conversate about whether we should get up and walk out because it seems like we weren’t welcomed there. However, our waitress came over and began to ask about drinks and at that time we decided that we would stay. The waitress was excellent, she literally turned the weird energy we were experiencing at first around. Then later the manager walked in and said hi to us and he was very upbeat and positive which put us at ease. The food was good and nicely seasoned. I ordered the buffalo dip for an appetizer, the asian chicken salad for my entree. Both were a hit! My husband ordered the Lemon pepper wings with fries and we ordered my 2 year old niece the kids chicken tenders. Our bill was about $98 with the drinks we ordered which were also good. No complaints, service and food was excellent. Later in the evening they had live music and my 2 year old niece and 3 year old neighbor began to dance around. Things turned around for the better and we felt more welcomed at the end of the night. I would go back.

They have killer Mac n’ Cheese. Drinks are pretty watered down. Food is a little overpriced. But I like that they’re one of the very few restaurants open late. But every time I go, there’s a bunch of loud drunk people (in the evenings). Like other “pubs” in Woodstock it has potential but it gives off more of a sports bar vibe. It’d be nice if the televisions were off like one night a week and they played actual Irish pub music every once in a while.

We just moved to this area and yesterday was my first time to try Donovan’s. We got the chips and the prime rib sandwich. Everything was beyond expectations. I was eyeing what other people got and can’t wait to try the bowties and the Thai shrimp next visit. The service was fantastic and we felt welcomed and comfortable. We will definitely be back. Good food at a good price is, unfortunately, rare around here. This restaurant was exceptional.

The mini boxty’s were a great app! Pretty solid guinness. Menu has been replaced with a bland/ average replacement that now includes hot dogs. Ordered a burger medium and received a patty that resembled cast iron on one side. Server didnt ask anything about the single bite out of the burger and cashed me out. Sad! this used to be a solid and consistent restaurant. $50 better spent at BK
