Fun little restaurant with an 80s/90s theme, good food and great drinks. Enter through the storefront, give the counter clerk the password and enter the restaurant through the secret door. Inside is small and decked out with tons of period nostalgia. Service was quick, efficient and friendly. Drinks were outstanding, best Wisconsin old fashioned I’ve tasted for a good while and the boozy shake was fun. The food was good. Not as good as the drinks, but still good. Fish fry and chicken sandwiches were great, cheese curds pretty good but the pizza fries a little underwhelming. Music is kind of loud for chatting, but period accurate and not obnoxiously loud. We were in and out in 45 minutes. Didn’t feel like we could stay any longer. I like to leave a good tip, but I’m not a big fan of 18% being added to every bill for everyone and then another tip being solicited for your server. Pay your staff.

Reservation recommended! Attempted to go to Don’s on a Friday night but could not get a table. We decided to go back on a Sunday for brunch (with a reservation). The set up of the restaurant/store is quite unique. Upon entering the building, we were first in the store part of the business- a very small room with the check in counter and cash register. To enter, we provided the secret password and were then led through a freezer door into the restaurant. The decor is old 80s/90s with old Disney movies playing on box tvs. We had a couple laughs reminiscing. Food portions are huge! I enjoyed the veggie breakfast burrito. I would not recommend the mimosa flight. Flavors were not identifiable and not good. Very fun experience overall.

Fun little place to go but.. I loved the concept! The execution was a little lacking. I’m not sure there was any alcohol in any of our drinks. I had enough to get a nice buzz but, failed to get that. Our waitress was wonderful! Made recommendations and even convinced us we can’t leave without having a milkshake 1st. Just a wee bit of work and this place would be a destination for sure!

If you’re looking for a fun time and a great atmosphere Don’s TV Repair is a great option. From the fun and interactive way to get in to the amazing decor inside of the restaurant you’re going to be in for a great time.

A visit to a Milwaukee speakeasy , so nice. I went there twice in one night! If you want to treat yourself and your party and go to a real speakeasy you go to Don’s, not the other place ..

Went for my moms birthday and we had a great time! It was easy to find and the staff was amazing. Everyone was so helpful and kind. That really stood out to me. The food was also really good and not over priced. The drinks were so fun and I wanted to try them all! Highly recommend the donuts.

A speakeasy with a super fun 80’s-90’s pop-culture theme and fun music. You enter through what appears to be a small grocery front, tell the clerk the secret password, and can explore the restaurant from there. We made reservations for one of their 99 cent burger Wednesdays and had a great time! Their customizable shakes were delicious as were their burgers, cheese curds, and tots. While I approve of them charging 18% in gratuity and being up front about it to ensure their staff is being paid well, I think it would be less offensive to just make the items on the menu slightly more expensive to incorporate that into business expenses. It should be easy, especially since it is so affordable now in order to accommodate wages. That way, the restaurant still makes it’s dues and the customer will feel less like it’s all on them and won’t have to do as much mental math. I think some customers, especially unsuspecting ones, may unfortunately take issue with the gratuity rates and as a result might tip servers less – which just works against what Don’s is trying to do be good to staff.

It was nostalgic immediately entering what looks like a soda shop. The food is decently priced!! The onion rings are amazing if you like beer battered! The boozy shakes come with a whole dessert on top!! Lots of thinks to look at while you are there! Service was excellent and we were seated at the bar. Lots of fun! Parking was a little hard to find.

Neat concept, with a Speakeasy behind a TV Repair shop. The atmosphere was a total 80s vibe, good music, interesting decorations. The service was efficient, but a little cold. No complaints, they took care of all of our needs quickly, were probably the highlight of the place. The food was below average. We ordered cheese curds, a little too greasy, a little too much garlic, only ate a couple. I ordered a burger and fries, my friend a veggie burger and tots. The burger seemed bland, the bun fell apart, the fries were blah, not bad not good.
