Walking down Broadway street and I needed to eat some crab so we decided to stop in. A big restaurant and it was busy. Had to just wait less than 10 minutes for a table. Ordered the Dungeness crab with Cajun butter and it included chowder or salad. My honey ordered the seafood pasta and the chicken Alfredo with a bowl of chowder. According to honey both pasta dishes were bland and the chowder wasn’t exciting. I enjoyed my crab but for $55 dollars I needed a little more. The fries were excellent and the lemonade was the best! Service was good. Our waitress was whipping around the dining room and making sure her tables were taken care of. In an emergency I think I would go back but definitely not my first choice.

We were on vacation in the area and came on someone’s recommendation. The clam chowder was very good. The rest of the food was good, though I was a smidge disappointed by the tiny salad shrimp on the shrimp sandwich (it was good, just not what I was expecting). Our waitress and the other staff were very friendly. There is a small service charge if you pay by card instead of cash, but this was not a problem for our group.

Came here after sitting at a different nearby restaurant for twenty minutes without being able to even get a glass of water! Dooger’s had extra great service and we definitely made the right choice to leave the other place and stop here.

I had the (halabit) fish and chips; comes with dinner salad (with shrimp on top, but I had the shrimp on the side and made a little “Shrimp cocktail”). The shrimps were those really tiny, cute size. The fish was cooked a little on the lighter side of fried, but still good. The fries are lightly breaded, nice flavor and fluffy inside.

Outstanding seafood restaurant. Gluten free kids can celebrate because they are food allergy informed and 80% of the menu can be made gluten free. Everything is delicious from the traditionally fried to spicy cajun. Our server was friendly and understanding of our dietary needs. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed. Restrooms are clean. Parking is street parking but the walkways are flat and the walk through the quaint downtown area is beautiful. Dooger’s is a great spot to break for lunch or end a beach day with dinner. It is a good place for families with young kiddos or works for a casual date night. It will be hard to decide on what to order. If you need suggestions.. The combination appetizer and the cajun prawns with steamed veggies will not disappoint. Bon Appétit Y’all.

They have great food and great customer service. I’ve gone there a few times over the past couple of years, but these last few visits really stand out to me. I want to give a shout out to the host and especially their servers. Both servers were GENUINELY kind and very accommodating. One of the servers name is Dillon, and the other I can’t remember but a very nice bearded stocky guy. I believe the great service reflects upon the owners and management.

A fantastic experience. As always. I always highly recommend this beautiful restaurant anytime somebody is visiting the seaside area. Keep up the good work. I drove 250 miles to have a bowl of chowder.

Average experience. We ordered our food from the Wednesday special menu which is the only saving grace for our entrees. Had we paid full price, they would have received even less stars. The seafood combination platter was severely lacking quantity considering the location this close to the coast. We can get larger portions for significantly less elsewhere no where near fresh seafood. The pasta was tasty and had plenty of sauce We did enjoy the side salads and those did have an ample about of shrimp on them. Our server was a dud. We kept watching the server for the next station take such wonderful care of her section where as our server was basically MIA. We did get a couple of water refills from the bus girl and actually saw her more than our actual server. We can say that we gave the place a shot but don’t see us going back again. The value did not match up to the price in any way

A delicious local longtime no frills institution. It’s the kinda place where every few minutes you’ll hear a dad joke from or other customers pretty often. They serve great fish and chips and yummy chowder and bay shrimp side salad. I much prefer cod in general and save the honey mustard from the side salad for the fries, but go with what floats your fishing boat. Spacious with friendly staff and super accommodating for families and on the easier side for groups. This is such a special place. Highly recommend!
