Excellent food, great service, good atmosphere! I had item #59 which had diced steak, onions, jalapenos and seasoning. It comes with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, guacamole, refried beans, rice and tortilla shells. It’s an awesome flavor combination with the kick of jalapenos. Only suggestion I have is add a dollop of sour cream. Domestic beer was $2.50, which is a bargain!

Mexican Alambre is very good! I have the steak and chicken combination. Served sizziling on a cast iron plate with tortillas on the side, but I prefer it with: fresh chips, green salsa and a splash of lime. This dish is flavorful due in part to the chorizo and cheese. I call it “souped up” fajitas. Add in a large Modelo Especial from the tap and it makes for a satisfying meal.

Worst place I’ve ever experienced in the Tuscaloosa area. Not only did they not bring my appetizer but they didn’t have the food to make my meal. Then told me they had to go to PUBLIX to get the stuff. 10 mins later they came to table and told me that Publix didn’t have pineapples to make my dish. I told him I didn’t want anything else so they charged me $7.70 for 2 teas. It took the manager to get it fixed but the waiter told him we cancelled the appetizer which we didn’t. He plainly forgot. Along with my empty cup that sat at then end of the table for 25 minutes. Come on now. $7.70 for sweet teas. I won’t ever come back nor will I tell anyone to spend their money there. Better just pass it up and head to Jalapeños to get real service.

horrible service and bad cheese dip they must have changed the recipe or something because it tastes like it was bought at publix. horrible management let underage kids drink, like to sit behind the bar and chit chat instead of attending to customers

I ordered a steak quesadilla with rice and beans. The steak was moist and juicy with a great flavor. I devoured it. The rice and beans were great too. The cheese dip was delicious and the salsa was excellent. My son ordered the chicken fingers with rice and they were great. He loved the flan too.

Best Mexican restaurant I have been too. The cheese dip is amazing and I have yet to have a dish I did not like. The servers are very quick and polite. The only downside I have about it is…there isn’t one closer to my house in McCalla. ❤ We eat here every time we come to Tuscaloosa.

I’m actually sitting at my table in the restaurant with plenty of free time to write this review because our waiter is MIA. This place is closest to our house and super convenient for when we also need to drop in Publix but that’s the only positive thing I can say about it. The food is always missing a certain flavor element but the main annoyance is the service is absolutely horrible. There are usually tons of employees in the building but there is absolutely NO sense of welcome or quality service. Today marks our 6th and final time to try this place. Jalapeño’s and Frida’s are WAY too close for this place to survive with such horrible service and unimpressive food. This may just be the first Mexican restaurant (at least since the ole La Fiesta poo fiasco) to go out of business in Tuscaloosa. !!Viva Jalapeños!!
